The two LED lights can be aimed independently and the flexible neck also assures you can direct the light where needed. The magnet is very strong for its size.However the battery compartment really is poorly designed. After unpacking the product the first thing I did is insert batteries to make sure it worked. Two of the batteries would not make contact until I stretched out the springs. I inserted the batteries and turned on the lights to make sure they worked. When I snapped the cover back in place the lights went out. I opened the compartment and the batteries were askew, not making contact with the springs. Again I stretched the springs some more and assured the lights were on. After very carefully replacing the cover the lights remained on.This experience tells me that USA GRILLER has no quality control whatsoever. They couldn’t have possibly tested this product to insure it worked properly before shipping. So be aware when you purchase a product from this company it has evidently not been verified to be working before shipment.Having said this the product now is in place and working on my grill. I will probably use this during the winter months (if it continues to function or until I need to change the batteries). Then in the spring when I no longer need a grill light I will spend a little more money and buy a higher quality product for next winter..

I had a different BBQ lamp for some time and just this season it refused to work anymore. I changed the batteries and cleaned the connections, and still nothing. When I had the opportunity to review this BBQ lamp I jumped at the opportunity as it came at the perfect time! After opening the box and taking the lamp out, I had a hard time trying to figure out where the batteries went. The compartment where the batteries went is just about the clip, but for some reason I could not figure out how to open it. Once I looked at it very carefully, it was pretty evident where the batteries went. I inserted the AA batteries and turned the light on. I was very impressed with how bright this light was. I couldn’t wait to try it out on the grill after dark and when I did, I was really happy with the amount of light this little guy has. I especially enjoy the fact that it has two lights on bendable arms so you can place the light in the direction you want even with multiple foods cooking on your grill. I clipped mine to the grill side tray, but you can easily use the magnet as well. The best thing about this light is that it is weather resistant so I don’t have to worry about bringing it in after every use. I will not leave this out on an extended basis as I want this to last a very long time. I am thinking about ordering another one of these lights to use in my sewing room as well, or even use this when playing my piano. I did receive this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review and I am extremely grateful for that opportunity or I might not have got to experience this wonderful product.

At first the grill light seemed pretty perfect, the bendable neck made it very convenient to point at the grill from any position. However it wasn't long until the base of the light, that we attached to the grill near the handle, got warm enough for the glue around the magnet to fall out. We were able to glue the magnet back in and moved it to another part of the grill but within two more uses, the base got warm enough to melt and warp. The magnet fell out and it won't stick to the grill anymore, which makes it pretty useless. The light itself still works, but if it doesn't attach to the grill, there's no point to it. Next time I'll be looking for a light that can handle heat as well as weather.

I love to have bbqs. I am often out cooking on my grill and many times it's after dark. I then struggle to see what I am doing and don't know when the meat is done. I have placed my bbq under a outside light where I would be able to see a little better. I have still struggled to see what I am doing so I ordered this light. I have never used a light like this one before and wasn't sure if it would help me enough. I decided to try it out and I am grateful I did. This light works very well helps out a lot while I am cooking. At first I was questioning how well it was going to stay on the bbq where I would need it. I tried the clamp and that didn't work very well. I then noticed it has a really good magnet on the bottom of the clamp. With that magnet it works very well on my grill. I bought this for use at my workbench. The old eyes don't gather light like they used to. It is perfect! Plenty of light right where I want it. Very adjustable. I only gave 4 stars because I am wondering how long batteries will last. Have only had it a few days.

Light is good, but not a quality item, fell apart, throw away item ...

It would have been nice to know that is product did not come with the required 3 AAA batteries so I could have used it right away as opposed to running out to the store to get batteries. Otherwise, I am pleased with the product.

Bought as a gift so I can only comment on actual use but I did check it out. Magnet on back of clamp is very strong. Lights appear pretty bright but didn't try it in the dark.
