This coffee table base is constructed of 1" (inside of pipe) diameter raw steel pipe, and the fittings are cast iron. It measures approximately 27"L x 20"W x 17.5"H to the outsides of the mounting flange (measurements may vary slightly depending on how tightly the pipes are screwed together). The base is shipped disassembled, but with detailed assembly instructions and hardware. The included screws are 1" long, so if your preferred top is less than 1' thick, please do not use the screws we supply. The ideal top would be 24-30" wide, 40-55" long, and an inch or more in thickness.
