These books fit nicely on the cardio machines I use at the gym. As for me, I'd leave an iPad or Kindle on the machine and be halfway home before I miss it. If I do that with one of these books, so what? There'll be another in the mailbox in a couple of weeks.I go there, get up on the elliptical trainer or treadmill, bury my nose in a well written mystery and 40 minutes later I'm done. I lost 100 pounds in 12 months by doing this. Make AHMM and EQMM part of your healthy lifestyle change today.PS, I think the writing is great. It's clean, clever, witty and most of the authors have a really enjoyable writing style and voice. I wrote this review for AHMM but I pasted it into this review for EQMM as well.

I enjoy the short stories. Most are well written and many have surprise endings. I recommend this magazine.

This magazine is so full of wonderful short mysteries !

I have enjoyed the stories in EQMM since my youth the 1970s. It is heartening to find it still being published. While the quality of the stories is uneven, there are always a few enjoyable reads, maybe one great read, and there is always the Jury Box - which I find one of the best mystery fiction review columns published anywhere.

I look forward to each issue. It has been a well done magazine for a lot of years. I love the short stories, and meeting new authors, and authors that I may have overlooked and missed!!! By reading one of the short stories in this magazine, I have found an author that had many series of books that I have come to absolutely love. I would have missed them all!!!! Well worth the subscription.

I subscribe to three mystery magazines, one science fiction magazine, and several other literary publications; I read and enjoy a greater percent of each issue of EQMM than I do of any of the others. That should be sufficient praise!

Good stories. Keeps me riveted and I like trying to solve the mysteries on my own.

Nice little magazine, easy to carry in my purse. I just received it so I haven't read any stories yet, but it didn't come in a wrapper so the mag is beat up. Looks like it's been thru the wringer. Not happy with that.This is an addendum: I've received three issues so far and I am very disappointed. The stories are not interesting, rather dumb, and boring. Really bad. I remember this mag when I was a kid and liked it. The mag has either changed a lot or maybe I've changed a lot. But it's not good or interesting reading, in my opinion.So I've changed my rating to a one star.
