General Remote Control for BN59-01006A

Good Value
The battery door is VERY difficult to get open. Designed to hinge but I had to use a jewelers screwdriver to pry it off...almost broke it. Instructions are weak in information. In order to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit you must hold down all three buttons and pull the trigger. Instructions don't tell you that and took me 20 minutes to figure out. I will say it does work well and seems to be consistent and very accurate when compared to my other instruments. Yes I would buy it again as it is a very good value for your money.

Good for the price but not fancy.
It's ok. I would not advise this for professional use but will do for my needs. You get what you pay for.

Hot or Cold, I Got You Covered
Hubby's review:This is an instrument that is now in my tool box. I use it to measure the temperature of the air flowing out of the ducts in the house. This way if I am not sure if the AC/Heater is working properly I can check the temperature of the air flow, which gives me an idea if a problem is occurring. If there is a problem, then maybe it's just a clogged air filter, but at least I have some way of knowing there's a problem.Also, I use it on vehicles, AC temp, cooling, etc.; anything that develops heat or cools. Another use is checking insulation in your house. Aim the beam at a wall or window, then check the difference in temps.Using it is very simple. Left button is for beam or no beam. Right button is for back light (very handy for dark areas). Middle button is a mode button; F or C, plus min and max temp. I also like that when you first pull the trigger, the meter zeros out. Now you know your readings are correct.For the average do-it yourselfer, this is a must have. The price will encourage you to have this in your tool box. 5 stars for this meter that might help you prevent a costly repair.{Sample provided for review}

Yes I would buy it again as it is a very good value for your money.I purchased this IR temperature gun to see if the thermometer on my 3d printer was working and to see if there are any issues with my 3d prints. In comparison, this temperature gun is inexpensive and does the job, the competition for this gun often costs double or triple what this gun costs. So I think that the Ougilay gun is a great value and for me it does what it needs to do plain and simple.I don't have any reliable way to check and see how accurate it is. But, it seems to give back temperatures similar to what I would expect based upon what temperatures I am checking. The buttons and display are simple and easy to use which is a bonus in my book. It takes two AAA batteries (not included). You can turn on the back light for the display or turn it off. You also can turn the laser on or off as well. You can toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit by holding down the mode button for 3 seconds or so. Overall I am quite happy with it so far. Really my only recommendation for future improvements is that looks and feels a little on the cheap side.I was given a discount for an honest review. But, that did did not affect my review. It works and is simple to use, but it feels a tad light weight and cheap. Overall though, it is reasonably priced and seems to work well.
