Color good, probably won't last as long as a regular bulb
The bulb is 3000k yellow in color. Great for a desk lamp if you like that natural light. I love yellow for my dark office.It is rated for 11 years.... at 3 hours per day. So thats certainly better than a regular incandescent bulb! $0.54 per year energy cost.If you use this for a regular 8 hour work day you will get a little more than 4 years out of it. Not half bad.

Great Extra Low Wattage and Warm Bulb
Was looking for a extra low wattage light bulb with a very warm color to use for ambient lighting in a room with a large screen television. This was perfect. I think this is the warmest yellow-orange light you can probably find anywhere for a standard lamp. This bulb has been in use for six (6) weeks now with no problem -- even though I bought the extended warranty on it for a couple extra bucks.

Not so hard on the eyes
Nice bulbs. I replaced out the white LED bulbs with these to be softer on the eyes and it works. I use three of them in a ceiling fan and they light up the room as well as needed though not as bright as the previous white ones.

If you are looking for a soft light, this one is pretty bright. I love the yellow color of the light. Get less wattage.

Nice bulb but not as pictured
The pictures featured would have you believe that the glass for this bulb is tinted yellow to give you a softer more ambient light. Its definitely clear glass with bright light. It's smaller than the last bulb I was using for my new lamp so it is a little less bright. But if you're looking for a yellow tint then this isn't it.

This bulb is good from whatever light it shines.
In the right light, at the right time, everything is beautiful! Gives off a warm inviting hue, perfect with the silver and crystal chandelier pendant light, also purchased from Amazon. The cost to run it on average for 3 hrs a day, is pennies over a year and based on it's lifespan, this bulb just might out live me. lol
