Loved This Book and I recommend to all Women, Men too.
I loved this book. I admire these women. Miss Kay is awesome. She is what every woman should be. She is a great mentor for women. I find it odd how people can't understand how she has such good relationships with her daughters in law. That isn't odd to me at all. I love it and all relationships should be that way. She has the right heart- she's loving, accepting and forgiving. She sees the best in everyone and doesn't have a critical spirit and she's honest. All will always be well if we have a heart like that. She isn't jealous and she loves them like they are her own daughters. She is the matriarch and she sets the tone and she's one heck of a lady Miss Kay, I love her. She is an inspiration. I learned that I need to be more forgiving. It's also beautiful that the daughters in law each get along with each other too and they genuinely love one another. No jealousy, no problems. It's pretty simple. They live a God designed life and that is why they are a light the way they are. They each share personal stories about their upbringing. Lisa is very transparent about her struggles and what happened in her life and I believe what she shares can help many women. Their faith is beautiful. All of these women are really special ladies. They are a very close knit family and that is what is missing in today's culture. I came from a large family and I had a very loving dad and grandparents whom are gone now, and my mom was a stay at home mom so I enjoyed reading about this beautiful family. We have to fight for our marriages. Miss Kay fought for hers and look at what she has today because she didn't give up. God is so Good!! We need to be praying wives and mothers. We NEED God in our lives. So happy for all of them and that they are being blessed the way they are because they certainly are a blessing to many. We certainly can learn from them.

Worth Reading Over and Over
I love biographies, but even better I love good biographies! This is what you get when you read this book. You'll be encouraged, maybe even shed some tears (I did), but most of all you will be able to feel like you are conversating right there with these wonderful people. This is my second time reading this book. This second time around my heartstrings were pulled at because I can relate to some of these stories and as a Mom, I could feel the emotions deeply. If you like Duck Dynasty and love reading about people who love God and their families, you'll not be able to put this book down. It's been written so well, I finished the book in 2 days. I literally could not stop reading.

Very inspiring!
I read this book after I read "Happy Happy, Happy" by Phill. I am new to watching Duck Dynasty, and became a fan with the first episode I watched. While watching the series, I was like many reviews I read on this book. Really, how can such a family exhist where everyone is happy, respectful, and loving? I got hooked and had to know more. Not because I was nosey about their personal lives, but why and how they were able to grow into the loving family they are. You dont have to be "churchy" to appreciate what these ladies have to say. It's their stories. I never felt preached to. They made refrences to the Bible as to how it affected thier lives and cicumstances. I abosolutley loved it and would recomend it to my friends and family. By the way, I did not rate Phill's book because he wouldn't read it anyway (being the "low tech" guy he is),but I would recommend reading his first, or at least after you read this book. It will make a lot more sense if you hear both sides of their wonderful inspiring story. It has changed my life perspective for the better!

ok boook expected more
I really thought they would indulge more? I am a huge Duck Dynasty fan and I like most of the women, Ms Kay is my favorite because she's 100% real and is totally ok with who she is and what she wants! It just brushed on small talk and really Ms Kay and Allan's wife Lisa are the only ones who truly expressed there insights (Korie did a little). Other than that Jessica was by far the worst she didn't divulge any dirt or anything? Life isn't all roses everyday and we know she wasn't always an angel either was Jep!! It just would have been nice if she was real and the rest of them really opened up like Ms Kay and just said things the way they were and not sugar coat everything! I just hate when people use the whole church thing as a cover up to act like their marriages and life's are so great when in realty we all know the ones who pretend and try so hard to be the "perfect Christians" are really the ones who are hiding the most demons and trying to impress everyone else instead of just being happy with who you are! Sorry to say it but after reading what the things they put first in their lives I laughed with Ms Kay's remarks and Lisa's too. But the whole hollyer than know thing is a little much and I am a Christian myself! It just felt a little phony :( I was slightly disappointed. But still love the guys and Ms Kay and Korie! I just wish they were really like they are in real life! People like genuine not phony and lives are so blessed and perfect!

The Women of Duck Commander
LOVE THE FAMILY,S FAITH. WORK AS A MAGISTRATE, AND ONLY SEE THE BAD IN PEOPLE. THIS GIVES ME TIME TO SEE THE GOOD IN PEOPLE, AND MAKES ME SMILE. I HAVE GIVEN THIS AND THERE OTHER BOOKS TO ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS WHO IS LIVING MISS KAY'S EARLY LIFE NOW. WE ARE ALSO. A CLOSE FAMILY, BUT I HOPE THE BOOKS GIVE HER AT LEAST A LITTLE HOPE, AS HER HUSBAND HAS BROKEN ALL OUT HEARTS, ALONG WITH HIS SMALL CHILDREN. I AM GOING TO GIVE HIM A COPY OF HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY, WITH THE HOPES HE WILL READ IT, AND WILL MAKE HIM THINK. HIS FATHER WAS A PREACHER BUT HE HAS DRIFTED SO FAR, WE ARE AFRAID WE WILL NOT GET HIM BACK, THIS BOOK ALONG WITH ALL THERE OTHERS, AND THE SHOW, HAS MADE MY LIFE SO MUCH HAPPIER. IT IS ABOUT ALL I WATCH OR READ ANYMORE, AND WOULD BE SO SCARED IF THE SHOW, AND THE BOOKS STOPPED.

i enjoyed this read.
"the women of duck commander" are a group of strong, clear thinking women who work with quiet determination toward goals for their families and their individual lives. their outstanding faith and love rings true and the trials some of these ladies have endured astound one as they take the reader along the path they walked to find true happiness, strength and peace. though i might have wished for a slightly longer book as these are five interesting women and i would have liked to hear more about them. i really enjoyed this book and send prayers for continued strength and happiness to these remarkable ladies.

Feminine, Godly Strength
Bought this for my wife, who was intrigued about the feminine side of Duck Dynasty. She was not disappointed. Heart breaking and heart warming stories of life before fame and fortune, as well as wonderful anecdotes from their present circumstances. Who knew? If you are a fan of the men from Duck Dynasty, read about the bedrock that keeps them going.
