Go for a wild ride on a magic carpet ride
I recommend this book to anyone one who wants to escape into a fantasy world.I loved the magic of this book and I imagined a different ending for it than the author chose. I am so happy she chose her ending. It’s the perfect ending.Although I would have liked less drama, that activated the suspense and I did love the ending. If this trilogy is the end of this series, I will definitely go on to another of her series.

Good read
I bought the first book in this series and have bought every book thereafter. These are interesting tales with well developed characters. They make you care about the outcome and have satisfying conclusions. I am really glad that I came across this book series.

Decent conclusion to the trilogy, but needed a little more...
I was really looking forward to this book and opening up the world of magic more with the jinn and learning more about Sidra. But the end result was a little dissapointing.I liked that the main characters from before were around and they had the same voice as previous. I enjoyed how the mythology of the jinn was explored and the artful descriptions of how their magic works and how they came into being. I also liked that this witchy world expanded a bit more to include the perfume witches and how that magic works. But there were also a few things that were disappointing. The biggest one was Sidra herself, who seemed very passive the whole book. She "looks into the fires" and worries, but when it comes to fighting the big bad and proving herself, she just doesn't. Someone as powerful as her still needed saving but she didn't seem to care that much. She's definitely a stoic character dealing with deep derpession, but the sparks of personality from the previous books was lackluster in this one.Secondly, how the major conflict comes together and the resolution of fighting the "big bad" seemed anticlimactic. Not only do you see the "big revelation" coming a mile away, but it seemed awfully simple. And the worst part of it is that it didn't really have anything to do with the magical trio who-were-oddly-bound-by-fate. Their magic was inconsequential to the whole fight and resolution. If they weren't there, there'd be little difference in the outcome, so it deflated the urgency and immediacy of the villainy.Overall, the magic and description of how this world comes together was enthralling enough to keep going. I read it pretty fast and it wasn't as slow-going as I remember the others, so it was a pleasant read.

I read all 3 and each one was excellent. This 3rd one put a perfect ending to the series. Loved all 3 books. Great author…

Wonderful and spell binding
I found the trilogy exciting, I had a hard time to put them down. I had to wait for some months before the last book was released. They are all excellent. I would recommend to anyone who first of all is interested in magic, spells and fairies. Wonderfully written.

Magical conclusion to the trilogy
This is the third, and in my opinion, the best of The Vine Witch trilogy.Who would have thought that there were so many differing talents amongst witches, fairies and jinnis? There is as much variety in the worlds of magic as there is in the world of mortals. There are also as many conflicts. The worry is that powers of magic make those conflicts even more dangerous and devastating than wars and battles in the mortal world of man-made armaments. In this final book of the series, Sidra is being pursued by her brother-in-law, Jamra, who is out for more than revenge for the murder of his brother. He believes that Sidra murdered her husband. He knows that she has, in her possession, an ancient relic that holds a very powerful and destructive magic.Sidra is supported by her friends, Elena the vine witch and Yvette the fairy. A dog and another being are also lurking on the periphery and you always feel that this pair are also there to ensure that Sidra prevails over Jamra, but there are seeds of doubt which add to the tension. The writing is superb. The pace picks up as the story races towards its conclusion and the uncertainty about how events will turn out keeps the reader’s attention throughout.I am left wondering if Luanne Smith is a witch or a fairy or a jinni. She certainly has great knowledge of those magical worlds, which she imparts with great integrity. I hope that she will be on my side if I ever run into a battle with supernatural beings.I recommend this book and the whole trilogy. It kept me gripped from beginning to end and was thoroughly entertaining.
