AN AMAZING PURCHASE!
Excellent! Iām not starting a repair business but I wanted what I like to call repair overkill! I wanted to maybe get into purchasing old tech and repairing it to working order. Other than that I wanted to be able to fix the electronics around me. But ifixit charges WAAY to much in shipping so I chose Amazon. Even though it still comes from the same place i still save money!

Well worth the price
Really enjoying this toolkit. Have not used everything it has with it yet but in time I will. I have already taken a few laptops apart to fix minor issues.

Where is the optic drive tool?
Bought this to help me in my IT classes in college, as I am distance learning. Taking things apart at home I ran into a vital tool missing from this kit: an optic drive opener.Working on my older eMac (G4, 2005) that has an optic drive that did not want to open (and none of the keyboard and mouse tricks helped). I do not have a paper clip anywhere in the house or hairpins. Needles were too fine and harmful to fingers. Two of the tool tips were thin enough for the eject hole, but neither was long enough. Why did I spend $300 on a kit and have to resort to an automotive cotter pin to eject the disk in the optic bay???

Bang for the buck lacking.
Bang for the buck was not there. Some of the tools were redundant. Looks like it was a mishmash of different toolkit offerings throw together. Having access to repair guides on their website was nice. The plastic tipped tweezers broke immediately on first use. The suction cups didn't stick to anything. I think the toolkit would have been great if more thought, less stickers and less price had been put into it.
