Tribute

I got this album as a gift for my sister, and she has been very happy with it. When I ordered it, it arrived several days early, and in pristine condition. The album was sealed inside an envelope lined with bubble wrap as well as the usual shrink wrap. It is constructed of a sturdy paper material, and it looks very cool. The CD is easy to pull out if one is careful, but if any dust or dirt got inside of the case, it is likely that the CD would get some minor scratches. The album also includes a small poster of John Newman that you can post on your wall, if your that big a fan. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of music. John Newman is a young British singer who I think deserves far more accolades than Sam Smith and many others. The first track names all the soul and Motown artists who have influenced him and he really deserves to be "up there" with the best of them. His voice is amazing, the songs are totally different to anything else coming out today and he really seems to have a depth of musical knowledge and experience way beyond his years. The album is one of very few that I put on and listen to all the way through. John Newman is the real thing. No "manufactured" flash in the pan. He will be around a long time because he has really worked for this and has a very special talent.

not all songs are palatable

Just saw his video on the Palladia Channel. The second I heard his voice I knew he is a force to be reckoned with.His voice is amazing. His album hasn't been released in the US yet but I'm sure it's coming.He's definitely got a new fan, and this is definitely not the last time were going to hear his name.

We saw him live in a small venue and he is fantastic ! This is a great singer and dancer and I will be following him and buying more of his music, which I hope he continues to make. Cant go wrong with a CD where every song is a hit! Enjoy!

I have tried to play this on my computer with Bose speakers, my portable cd player. my home system for cd player. It sounds awful. having heard this album with video of the venue as well as on his site, I was looking forward to the same quality of sound. Wrong. It sounds like I am listening from the back of a cave to a concert down the road. sorry I ever bought it. gave 2 stars because I respect the artist but not the cd.

John Newman is amazing. I keep playing this CD over and over again. Not sure what song I enjoy the most, as I love TRIBUTE, LOSING SLEEP, and on & on & on.

John Newman is amazing. I've had this cd for a month and I listen to it everyday. Its been ages that I listened to a cd from beginning to end!!! So GOOD!!!!

Came across John Newman's name having really enjoyed Rudimental "Home" album, being one of the best I have bought this year. I previewed John's album Tribute on Amazon, and decided it could be worth the investment. Not one bit disappointed it is an excellent CD, just marginally falls short of Rudimental inasmuch as there is not quite as much variety. But still an excellent offering.

Although I will be 60 this year, :( I have always been a music fan (all types from Classical to Punk and every shade in-between) After seeing Rudimentals live cover on TV, I soon discovered John Newmans original version and I love it to bits, Get this album in your collection, you will not regret it! Classic Soul with a modern twist.

Wonderful album...certainly not disappointed. Keep playing it and unlike many others, can't say there is a track on it I want to skip. Look forward to seeing what he does next, and hopefully some DVD's.
