The stuff is pretty dense, but you might want more padding as it is not thick. 250lbs dropped from one foot not such a big deal. 4 feet.....physics, do the math

I would suspect so. Altho eventually I think if you leave your car on it, there may be marks on the flooring from the weight of the car.

I doubt you would be able to hear tap dance shoes on them. They are rubber, so they would muffle the sound. They aren't super squishy, but they do give a little with lots of weight (like a persons foot).

you have to do the calculations based on size of the tile and size of the room, and whether or not you want to go wall to wall. the tile can be cut with a carpet type knife, or you need not go wall to wall to avoid cutting the tile. but you will have to do the math!!!!!
