Funny light hearted story
Marcos is taken on as an intern to give him some experience before he finishes his degree. His new boss is a very attractive lady and the feeling between them seems mutual. She tells him about a file she found on her fathers servers and Marcos helps her to find out who is spying on the company. Its a funny story and there are some laugh out loud moments. Didnt like the quick ending and hated the 15% of the book being used for another book.

Smartypants? yes, Romance? not so much :(
This was an intelligent and witty book that falls very short on the romance. I would describe it more as a farcical industrial espionage story, where the two main characters have sexual chemistry. I had several laugh out loud moments but just as many moment when I hadn't got a clue what was going on. This is the first smartypants romance I've been disappointed in

Hot and hilarious
This laugh out loud comedy romance is also hot as they come, as Eva hires ex-stripper Marcos as her new intern. The story follows on from Penny Reid's Chemistry and Physics series but you don't have to have read all of those books to enjoy this one.AngelaI loved the quirky style of writing and especially Marcos' many Notes to Future CEO Self.

Hilarious
Corporate world from an outsider point of view. Couldn’t stop laughing. Great characters, perfect descriptions and engaging storyline. Will read another one for sure.

Witty and comedic with a punch of emotion.
This novel was witty and comedic with a punch of emotion that brought a sting to my eyes. The first few days of Marcos Oliveira’s internship at Reedweather Media is a veritable circus. Until he finds out the exact reason he was brought on board by his beautiful boss (kind of), Evangeline Reedweather. What ensues is a tricky game of uncovering corporate espionage whilst trying to manage their attraction to each other.”Anyone can shine in the spotlight. Show me the person who radiates from the shadows.”There was a light-heartedness to this novel that was underscored by a seriousness that is corporate espionage, and also Marcos’ background as a foster kid. I thought he was a hero to die for. He was super-smart, charming and resourceful, and I found his initial bumbling demeanour so cute when he first met Eva. I loved his determination to overcome his background to rise to the top, but tempered by his strong ethical code. His close friendship with Nash and Nate warmed my heart, knowing that they were his stalwart companions through childhood. Eva was the perfect match for Marcos. Super-smart herself with the same sense of humour and ethics. I loved the way she understood and supported him emotionally.”I wonder if he’s as turned on by intelligent, productive women as I am by intelligent, productive men.”I loved both Eva and Marcos’ inner monologues. They were so entertaining and delightful! I loved the way they interjected humour into moments that should have been more serious, but done in a way that was fun and showcased their connection and compatibility. The adorable, awkward chemistry and attraction between them transformed into something that was totally hot! I really enjoyed this story and thought it fitted well into the Smartypants Romance universe.Side note: Chad ‘Something’ (the other intern) is the most ridiculous creature alive! LOL

Full of banter and swoon
Aly is serious killing it atm. I've absolutely devoured her last few releases since I've discovered her writing and Street Smart was no exception.Marcos is not your typical buttoned up suit. Oh no. Hes got aspirations to make it big one day and he's worked hard to get where he is today. He goes for an internship at Reedweather Media working under Eva the Bosses daughter. To obtain a permanent position he has to beat fellow intern Chad for his place on the team. However his internship isn't plain sailing when he gets a secret project with Eva which could rock the whole company.I absolutely loved the banter Marcos had with everyone. I was cracking up at his internal monologues especially when Chad or Mr Reedweather were about (the racquetball incident especially had me with tears of laughter) the side characters really brought an extra sparkle to this story my favourite was Chad some of his nut musings were very entertaining.Eva was spunky and fiesty. She has had to have balls of steel to be taken seriously in her job working under her Dad. When she gets turned down for a position that she is more than capable of doing she realises that things need to change and sees that opportunity when she stumbles upon some of Marcos work. The chemistry between Marcos and Eva was hot. I loved the whole workplace forbidden relationship especially when it was obvious that they fancied the pants off each other.Street Smart is part of the Smarty Pants series which I will definitely be checking out soon. Can't wait to see what Aly will bring us next.

Action packed romance
Marcos Oliveira always worked hard for what he wanted. As a brilliant student, he could hand-pick the place he wanted to work after college, but after being selected for a prestigious internship at Reedweather Media (a subsidiary of the legendary Sandeke Telecom) he decides to take a chance to see how a conglomerate this massive works, and then learn how to do it differently and better. What Marcos didn't expect was to come across some incriminating documents on his very first day, and to be recruited by none other than the boss's daughter (the gorgeous Eva) to help her with some corporate espionage against her father's empire.Street Smart is a fast-paced workplace romance that is so charming. Marcos and Eva have such great chemistry, and their story was just plain fun. I loved the corporate espionage plot and Aly Stiles did a great job of keeping us on our toes until de very end.Halfway through, after the plot picks up, the romance takes a back seat. Because I liked all characters and was thoroughly immersed in the story I didn't mind this as much. But, in the end, I feel like I missed more candid or sweet moments between Marcos and Eva.Still, the laugh-out-loud moments were worth it and I had a constant smile on my face while reading about them.
