Dimitri: An age-gap mafia romance (The Italian Cartel Book 1)

The book on Dimitri and his family was not at all what I was expecting! Highly recommend! What a cliffhanger!!!

Dimitri and Roxanne have sexual chemistry and tension in spades. It rolls off of them anytime they’re together and even sometimes when they’re not. I was pulled into their story from the beginning in the alleyway. It was a bit slow moving from there, but so worth the wait. I hate Dimitri for the way he treats Roxanne, but love him for how hard he’s fighting for Fien. I hate Roxanne’s naivety, but love how fearless it makes her and how willing it makes her to help Dimitri. I’m all twisted up and don’t know if I love them or hate them, but I can say that I can’t wait to read the next book and figure it out.

Dimitri has loss his wife and daughter through horrific measures and he is doing everything in his power to get them back. He has a lot to deal with in his dangerous life. He knows that his daughter is alive because he keeps paying a monthly ransom for that confirmation. What he didn’t expect was Roxanne and how she has been hovering in and around his life the entire time this tragedy has been occurring. Roxanne doesn’t know Dimitri until their paths collide and then there is no going back. She must submit to him in order to survive. There are still gaps and secrets to be revealed and I’m hoping Book 2 will answer some of them. This story is intense and suspenseful. Dimitri’s goal of finding his daughter is admirable but he’s not an easy guy to like. This is a great beginning to this series. Happy Reading!

So the beginning was confusing to me about all the mafia facts I get the author was trying to set some kind of stage for the book I just don't understand what it was. I like that Roxanne is feisty and seems to have 9 lives like a cat but she always seems to be getting in trouble. Dimitri is dark and broody and easily tempered to kill someone. Exactly what you expect from a capo. The story had a lot of sexual tension without the relief. I was disappointed that this wasn't the end to this book because the story drags a little.

Ohhh Dimitri... I've read all of Shandi's mafia series (starting with my main man Nikolai). When I saw Dimitri was getting his I had to read it. In true Shandi fashion she did not disappoint. He is broody, a bit mean , arrogant and oh so loyal to those around him. He's dealing with something you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. He is a man possessed. Insert Roxanne. She's got some type of terrible luck ive never seen before. He is so entranced with her but knows he has to stay focused. He keeps everything so guarded to the vest, its hard for him to seek help. He holds her responsible so she's helping him through his mission.I feel sorry for anyone that crosses Dimitri. He's about as ruthless as they come- even more when it effects his loved ones. Him and Roxanne are so torn on their feelings toward each othother. He can't seem to resist her no matter how hard he tries and she's the same. This book does leave on a cliff hanger that will make you think "No. Theres no way. They wouldn't take part in that would they? No. "I cant wait to read what comes next!

This was book 1 in " The Italian Cartel" . Dimitri Petrettis is on a mission his wife and daughter have been kidnapped and he will do anything to get his daughter back. This was a cruel crime his daughter was cut out of her mother's stomach. I really liked this book and Dimitri he was ruthless. I have read this author before but not the other mafia series but I will be reading it soon. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I was willing to read this book because it was a mafia romance and was free. However that was a mistake.The hero kept blaming the heroine even though she had zero control or involvement over the things that he was blame her for. He threaten her life repeatedly though the book including on the very last pages. He had zero respect for her and acted like he hated her most of the time.Sexy times? Totally lacking. It took until the book was over 50% to even kiss and the sort of sex scene happened when the book was almost finished. I say sort of because Mr Mafia man hero, who cheated on his wife including with prostitutes, throughout their marriage, could not even maintain an erection with the heroine. How sad is that? Seriously? It should not surprise me because there was no chemistry between them. Rather it was all telling how hot they were for each other as opposed to showing it.Speaking of the unfaithful dirtbag if he cannot stay faithful to the woman he loved, what is the likelihood that he will be faithful to the heroine, who he treats with contemporary? He freely admitted to the heroine that he knows he will not be faithful.Not only were steamy times lacking but the editing was as well.The thing that really got to me, and why I feel played, is that while this first book is free it will take over $10.00 and 4 books before their story is complete. Will I read the rest of the books in the series? Forget about it....

Easy five stars.... As usual Shandi never fails to disappoint. I love that you can almost taste the chemistry between Dimitri and Roxanne. The only thing I advise when reading this, is buckle up sweetheart, you're in for one hell of ride.

This was one hell of a ride! So make sure you strap in. There were many times were I really wanted to punch Dimitri in the balls. Love Roxanne. The story is completely captivating from start to finish, many twists and turns. Read it as soon as it came out, and the cliffhanger at the end has me counting down the days until Roxanne, have it pre ordered. Nothing negative to say about this book, could not put it down, while my housework piled up around me lol.

I really enjoyed this book Dimitri was part of a mafia family but he wanted to make a difference from start to end this book held my attention and I couldn't put it down looking forward to reading more from this author

Dimitri has one goal,to find his daughter and destroy everone who killed his wife,no body will stop him,he doesnt need the distraction of this girl,RoxanneThe first in The Italian Cartel series,absolutely riveting cant wait for the second book Roxanne

Loooove this book. The build up is so good and I just love the sexual tension between him and Roxie. A very good read.
