The Perfect Walker at a Great Price!
I bought this Winnie Walker for a week's vacation in Maine, then for three days of tourism in downtown Chicago. The device worked surprisingly well for both. I was able to take gentle hikes on outdoor trails in Maine, as long as they were reasonably smooth and solid. It wasn't much good on the beach, but I didn't expect it to be. The walker functioned best when paths were clear. Also, because it was so light, it served the function of one or two canes in offering balance and stability. The walker was ideal for city touring on Chicago's busy streets. It could be folded into compact spaces in public transportation, putting it out of the way of other travelers. The handles could be squeezed together slightly as I walked through narrow passages, such as airplane aisles. The wheels glided smoothly over hard surfaces, with no friction or drag. The brakes locked well and provided sturdy support for starting and stopping operations. The rollator was light enough to lift easily off sidewalks and curbs and then set down in the street. The central carry-all pocket was great for carrying my purse and packages securely. There was a snapped flap over the central carrier for extra security. The plaid fabric is sturdy and cheerful without being loud or tacky. The rollator doesn't have a "medical" appearance, and looks more like a little shopping cart than a walker. Still, it serves all the functions of a walker except for providing a place to sit. That's an easy compromise to accept considering the bulkiness of walkers with square seats.Since I've been home, I use the rollator for grocery shopping and walking the dog. It minimizes the discomfort of walking and makes getting around a pleasure. I don't have to wait for the pain to start, because it doesn't.

Wonderful Winnie
Purchasing the Winnie is one of the best purchases I have ever made. My wife cannot function without a walker, she's been useing a four wheel walker for quite some time and while it provides her with support she needs, it is not the optimum. It's big and heavy and does not fold up easily. A neighbor, who owns a 3 wheel walker, in talking to my wife commented that the four wheel walkers may serve a purpose but they were ugly. This comment sent my wife (who is always interested fashion) on a mission and insisted that we look into 3 wheel walkers. A mission that I was not thrilled with but I had to go thru the motions, so we went to the local hospital supply outlets, the large drug chains ie: CVS and we were quoted prices from $190,00 to $130.00. I was not impressed, so I decided see what was available on the internet and I came upon the Winnie, the price $77.00, was to good to be true so, being a skeptic I reluctantly ordered one. i am no longer a skeptic. The Winnie is fantastic, my wife loves it it's light weight, is easy to get around in tight places and best of all the beautiful Burberry plaid bag makes Winnie handsome as well. As for me the light weight and ability to fold so neatly and put in the car was a Godsend. We live in a senior assisted living facility and our neighbolrs have all commeted favorably. I hope they all follow through and get a Winnie. They won't regret it.George Ziff

Best Walker that makes daily life and travel EASY--love it!
I was a bit dubious about the claims used to describe the positive benefits of this walker. I've had a number of walkers over the years. All were helpful but heavy and bulky to the point they were hard to load & unload from a car. I rarely used one, depending on a cane which posed the risk of falling and slowed my pace. This walker was very easy to set up. I used it the very day it arrived to go shopping and was 100% happy from that time forward. The walker has a very light weight, quickly folds in half and easily fits in my back seat or in the passenger side of larger vehicles. It takes me about a minute or less to retrieve the walker from my car & set it up. The attached bag is very handy for daily shopping trips or to hold personal items like purses and the like. Since I've gotten easily around everywhere I've wanted to go, i've had a lot of people inquire about its use and several who had plans to purchase it. I wish i had had this a lot earlier--it would have made travel a lot easier instead of hauling a larger, heavy walker around.

This item has one huge flaw - not safe in my opinion.
I wanted to like this. It is trim, turns on a dime, is light and can fold up and transport easily. However, the locking brakes do not work. Let me elaborate - they work out of the box, but are stiff. Within a week, the locking mechanism gets to the point where you can't make it lock at all. I am not the user, I am a decently strong adult male, and I cannot get it to lock. The elderly user of this walker has no chance of making it lock. This is NOT a one time problem. I got a second one of these after the first one failed, and the second one failed in EXACTLY the same way. Loosening the brakes does not help - I loosened to the point where the braking mechanism did not even make contact with the wheel any more and the locking mechanism was still impossible to engage. An added not so nice problem with this item is even though your order list tells you the date by which you may return it, if you click on "return item", you will discover that the item is not eligible for return. I am happy with how Amazon handled it in the end, but this was a not so nice surprise on top of receiving a lemon walker.Bottom line - if you don't need locking brakes, then this is actually a pretty good walker for the reasons mentioned at the top of this review. But if you need the brakes, then look elsewhere. The company making these has either had a recent problem with the locking portion of the braking mechanisms, or there is a very serious design flaw. Either way, I cannot recommend this item.

Amazing walker
Drive medical has good customer service. The packaging is good, easy to assemble. Light weight, easy to maneuver with 3 wheels. Good for shopping. This one even comes with a wired hanging basket with cover- kind of handy but the hanging part is questionable - wobbly

Great 3 Wheeled Walker
I bought this for my mother-in-law who is an above knee amputee on one leg and had a relatively recent hip replacement on the other leg. She uses a larger walker in her home but needed one that would fit in the back of her compact car. The Winnie light supreme 3 wheeled walker has suited her very well. It is light yet sturdy, folds easily and she can manage to get it in and out of the trunk of her car. The brakes work well which she needs for going down ramps, and are lockable. For the price it is an excellent little walker.

Excellent purchase at first, but huge problems after five days.
Excellent walker. We bought this for use in our house where there is a narrow area in the hall. This walker is extremely maneuverable, and can turn on a dime.It appears to be sturdy enough, although we specifically bought this one for its maneuverability. The triangular shape can get through some pretty tight spots.Very highly recommended.============================Update. Changed rating down to one star. The "parking brakes" on this walker were very stiff out of the box. I thought that they would become easier as they were used. They did not. In fact after five days, the brakes became much worse, not better. In fact, the right brake cannot be locked at all, and the left can be locked by a young adult male cranking on the brake, but the 89 year old arthritic woman use does not have a prayer. The very minimal instructions that come with the walker do not help. Simply adjusting the tension on the brakes does not make the mechanism inside the brake handle engage without cranking on it with far more strength than should be required. To make matters worse, this item cannot be returned - even if there is a defect. In the end, I was happy with how Amazon handled this, but not happy at all with the item itself.

Good value - as expected.
This was a good purchase for my mother for indoors. She can’t walk with a cane anymore and this is small enough to be used in tight spaces. It’s lightweight which makes it good for people who lack upper body strength. It would not be good for outings as there is. I seat to rest but for inside and short distances it’s great. Super easy to set up.

Niffty walker
Like this walker a lot. Easy to assemble. Folds to fit into back seat of a car. Adjusts to go through narrower doorways. ideal for someone who requires a bit more balance than a cane can provide. Would not recommend for someone who needs to lean on a walker. The "shopping bag" great for transporting purse, groceries etc. Would have given 5 stars if it came with locking breaks.
