These are not Blitz branded caps. First, they do fit the tube, but they do not latch into place because the tab on the tube does not snap over the flange of these caps. They seem slightly too large to allow that. Second, though they have the arrow where you would align the cap with the flat area where the flange is removed, there is not actually a flat area. So if these did latch, it'd be a pain to get them off. That area of flange can easily be ground flat with a Dremel or just sand paper, but as it won't latch anyway, it doesn't really matter.Because it won't latch, these would require additional caution to ensure the caps don't get easily knocked off when transporting the gas cans. Therefore I did not believe these provide very good protection.But the price was nice.

So Close...The good thing is that they are a tight friction fit to the nozzle. The bad is that they lack about an eighth of an inch in length to lock on like the original.The search continues...And yes, I did push them on as far as I could.

I store my gas cans in the barn and I have had a problem with stuff getting in them. A big spider stopped my riding mower from running. It took me awhile to figure out I had a gas flow problem and when I emptied the tank that's when I found the dead spider.I did have to cut one down to fit because it would not seat completely. No big deal and it took about 15 seconds.

I don’t know how I lost the cap to my gas can. I thought all hope was lost. Fortunately, I found these guys on Amazon. They fit the spout of my plastic gas can perfectly! They are tight enough to prevent spills but loose enough to remove easily. I am thrilled that this came with two caps because if I lost one once, I’m likely to lose one again. Great price and great value. I’m pleased with this purchase.

Always on the lookout for older style gas cans, the ones that don't have the incredibly annoying "safety" features that are anything but safe since you're juggling a full gas can and struggling to get it to pour without dumping gas all over the place. Anyway, found an old gas can at Goodwill, but it was missing the cap. Amazon to the rescue!
