I read and noted many comments regarding this product (Oak Moss Essential Oil), before purchase: yes, it is not free running like other essential oils, and does not really smell of anything when you put your nose to the bottle; these comments are all true - the oil has a consistency at room temperatures similar to honey, but this is no big deal. Cold pressed coconut oil is mostly solid at at room temps, but we know to warm it up a little to get it to a pourable state i.e. we live with it, and accept this is its form. So we must warm the Oak Moss a little to get it to pour, or dip into it like you would a honey jar to get it out of the bottle.As to the comments of no scent - I found that Oak Moss is somewhat of a 'reactive substance' - meaning, that as soon as I exposed the product to the warmth and chemistry of my skin - out came the green, earthy, and comforting scent, that is Oak Moss.Therefor Completely happy with my purchase.

I bought this Oil for Respiratory Issues I was having.. My lungs seemed Permanently Congested.. Breathed Oakmoss fumes in a few times a day .. WOW, did it clear my lungs.. I haven't had such free breathing in years..I gave it 4 stars because It caused a severe rash everywhere it touched my skin.. Descriptions of Oakmoss do say can cause Skin Sensitivity but that usually dosen't apply to me.. Even with the Rash, I'm NOT Unhappy I used it.. If I ever need it again, I will use Latex Gloves to Protect my skin. Nothing else has ever cleared my Lungs so deeply.. One month later, rash is just about gone and I'm still breathing 100%..

Not exactly sure what Oakmoss supposed to smell like, but this stuff smells powdery and sweet, and only vaguely woody. It smells great but I have no direct experience with the oil. From what I've read, Oakmoss isn't supposed to smell like that which makes it a bit apocryphal. Also, the oil is extremely thick and goopy; mixes badly as well, however, I expected that after reading the reviews and descriptions online elsewhere. That's not my complaint. My complaint is that the scent *may* not be authentic.Will be buying other brands of Oakmoss to compare, then I'll edit my review.

Smells absolutely fascinating-- green, yet somehow rich-- and is a great addition to my fragrances. Be warned, though, this stuff is THICK-- syrupy, almost as thick as tree sap. You'll have to pry the dispenser cap off to get any out of the bottle, and I'd honestly recommend using a small wooden craft-stick to sort of "spoon" a few globs out into your mixture-- if you use a pipette, it'll stick to the inside like glue no matter how hard you squeeze the bulb, also making it difficult to clean. Shipping was pretty slow, but I'd buy this again.

Make sure to look at the amount you are getting. I didn’t. But the scent is pungent. That could be either good or bad for buyer. Oil was thick and not sure if was supposed to be.

The smell of this stuff is the smell of the barbershop from my childhood. As soon as I smelled it, it took me back there. It's a very yeasty, earthy, slightly green smell, very rich, potent and long-lasting. Smells incredibly masculine and on the mature side to me. The oil is super thick and green in color as it should be. Best to dilute it in a carrier oil or alcohol/DPG (depending on application) before use to make it easier to work with. Can't wait to start making some awesome smelling DIY perfumes with this stuff!

This did not smell like I expected it to--not very sweet. But I can say the closet I store it in smells VERY sweet and delicious. Thick and green, it is quite sticky, so be aware. As a bonus the box it came in smelled so good, not like the oakmoss, either, that I kept it around for a while. A good product. I would give it more stars if I could.

Bottle came in it’s box, seal in place, solid cap in place, popped that off and was greeted by sticky violently green goo the consistency of pine sap. Pictured is what I got on the dropper cap I tried putting on it. This oil very clearly was contaminated and not stored right over a LONG period of time to make this color and consistency.

Very thick needs to be gently warmed by standing bottle in warm water, love the smell. Great, fast service as well

So I ordered this based on descriptions of what oakmoss smells like, so I can't comment on the scent. However I will just warn you that the dropper that is included is useless because this stuff is thick as molasses. Like very thick green honey. Lends a kind of soapy smell to products.

Fast unbrauchbar.Erstmal musste ich die Flasche mit einer Zange öffnen da alles verklebt war.Habe es im Wasserbad warm gemacht und dann mit Weingeist zu einer 50% Mischung gemacht.Es lässt sich trotzdem nicht richtig verbinden (die Hälfte setzt sich wieder ab)Ich muss jetzt vor jeder verwendung erstmal 1 Minute schütteln.Für diesen Preis hätte ich was besseres erwartet.Zumindest ein Öl und kein Harz.Der Geruch ist aber okay.
