iPad lap stand with storage.
I shopped for some months before finding this design. It is the only sensible one I could find that included not only a comfortable lap desk and prop for my iPad but also one that stores it for travel. The cavity behind the prop has an elastic band to keep the iPad from moving around, which is a good idea, and it even comes with a nice little stylus for poking the tablet. With just a little more imagination they could have made the cavity a little deeper so it could also hold a magazine or paper and a better place for the stylus which is a little awkward to retrieve, but these are nits. The convenience of safe transport with a comfortable prop is an excellent combination.

Cheaply made
This is very average and made with cheap materials. I had a different iPad bean bag Table before this one that was far superior to this one. I don't expect this to last long and will then buy the original one I had.

I Love This Thing!
I own an iPad which replaced a failing laptop. The problem with iPads is that to have them at a comfortable angle for viewing and working, you have to hold it with one hand, then try to use it with the other hand. Its either that or you lay it flat on your lap or table, but thats no fun. This bean bag stand is the perfect solution!Just prop up the stand and put your tablet on it and viola! The highest angle you can achieve with this is about 45 degrees and goes down to about 20 degrees. The bean bags are super comfortable on my lap and there's a little storage space under the part that props up.There's not a lot of room as far as depth goes, but my full sized iPad fits perfectly in there, even with the stand in the closed position. The base seems well made, and the table part that pops up is a decent thickness of plastic. The arms that extend out to keep the table part up is fairly lightweight and I imagine that if anything is going to break, that's the part that would go first. I've had this for a few months so far and no issues so far. This is a great solution for those that like to surf the net while watching TV like I do, because it allows you to sit in a comfortable position with your tablet right there in front of you, hands free.

Cheap construction - good design - so disappointed
Don't let the look or potential functionality fool you. Although it looks great, it's not worth it at any price. I've tried to make do after it broke the first time, but when two more pieces broke, even duct tape & jumbo rubberbands couldn't rescue this cheap lap desk. If the manufacturer would use sturdier materials in its construction & add a couple of locking components, this would be a great product.I did a lot of research to find what I needed/wanted. I really liked the pillowed bottom & adjustable desktop, but there is nothing to affix your device (laptop, Kindle, tablet, book) to the stand. When reclining, the stand's desktop tray flips up (because the piece of plastic that props up the tray can't lock in place) & my Kindle falls forward off the stand. My Kindle has hit me in the face/mouth so many times I have lost count (it hurts).Problems: 1) No clamps to keep your device secure to the desktop tray, 2) The clasp that holds the lap desk tray to the bace was hard to open--then it broke so the tray would always pop open & the contents would spill 3) No way to lock the plastic prop in place for each angle adjustment option, 4) The plastic prop is cheaply made so it broke in half, & before that it would bend & pop out of the plastic hooks, 5) The hook that keeps the flip bar in place broke--it's used to prop your device on the stand, 6) The peg on the desktop tray broke-so the tray pops out & falls down or into my face, 7) The device needs to be able to prop at a 45 degree angle.

IPADBeanBagTable review
My wife uses the Bean Table (Instand)with her Kindle Fire HD 8.9" and is pleased with the portable table. The only complaint I have heard is the latch that holds the table down is bother-some for her to unlatch, so it sets on the arm of her chair without being latched. She also uses the table to write poems with a small pillow under the front of unit next to her knees to prop it up for writing. I originally purchased it for her to play games because she complained of having to hold the Kindle in one hand and use the stylus with the other. No complaints there, she is happy with the purchase. If you are considering using the unit to take your Kindle Fire HD 8.9" along with you then you will have to remove any vinyl covers on the Kindle Fire HD. There is enough room for a mini/usb charge cord within the Instand and a stylus. The charger we have will not fit inside but that is not a deal breaker considering the advantages of the unit.I would definitely recommend this to a friend.Update 9.23.2013:The inside measurements are 9.5"x7.5"x3/4"deep, these are not exact measurements, but if they were exact you may not be able to get your tablet out of the compartment. I am leaving fingertip room to remove your tablet. My wife still uses the IpadBeanBagTable daily and loves it.

Nice beanbag table
This is a very nice tablet table with a beanbag made together, it feels nice in your lap, or just on a table in front of you, it is a portable office. I look forward to using it as I go perhaps on a bus trip. I will not have to keep repositioning myself, as it is a multi- level table. I emailed the company with my concern about the door opening when in route, and they are working on something for those of us that are not comfortable carrying it in fear that our iPads might fall out, so a solution is in the works. This company seems like they care what the customers think, so give them a chance, and see what the future holds. They are going to get back with me, and I will update you beanbag tablet users. This is the best one on the market, considering the price. Plus I don't think Apple has anything like this, and if they did, it would be so costly. I do recommend this product to those who are looking for a nicer tablet carrier to conceal your investment. It is not so obvious that you are carrying your iPad, or any other tablet. Watch the news, they had reported that there are IPad snatcher now, just taking what is a familiar iPad case, and running away.
