Brandon 🥰🥵
Tortured Souls- Rebels of sandland book2 @nikkijsummersauthor⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️They say the devil appears in many different forms. To the town of Sandland, his face was one of them. He was a rebel. A brawler. A bare-knuckle boxer that you’d cross the road to avoid if you saw him coming the other way. When he left our town, no one shed a tear, because Brandon Mathers was trouble and trouble followed him wherever he went.Brandon Mathers and your chocolate bars 🥰 we completely fell in love with him. He’s always been part of our top 10 book boyfriends. This book is beautifully written and will have you hooked just like the last one.Not all book boyfriends are smooth talking billionaires. This one has lots of tattoos and doesn’t know a thing about romance but that’s the beauty of it because he tries anyway and he’ll stop at nothing to give Harper everything she deserves. After a rough start you’d never think they end up how they do.Harper is so forgiving and always see’s Brandon for who he truly is. She never wants him to change ❤️This book gave us more feels the second time round. Now get ready for book 3It was time for Finn’s voice to be heard.Time for his retribution.Happy readingDLB#bookboyfriend #brandonmathers #nikkijsummers #bookrecs #bookreview #bookreccomendation #readingreview #booktok #bookstagram #books #smut #smutbook #readromance #rebelsofsandland #torturedsouls #booksbooksbooks

From the villain you love to hate to an unforgettable bad boy hero...
After reading the brilliant Sandland Rebels #1, Brandon was the villain I loved to hate and I could wait to see how he would get everything last bad thing he deserved. Then I heard he was going to be the hero of Sandland Rebels #2, and his female love interest would be the twin sister of the boy he killed in a bare-knuckle fight.‘No, surely not,’ I thought. Surely, not even Nikki J. could flip me over like a pancake and make me love a character I detested. But I’ve read every single one of her books, and I decided that if someone could, then she was the one.I was eagerly awaiting the release of Brandon and Harper’s story and was delighted when Nikki surprised her fans with an early release. I dropped everything and started reading.Straightaway, I loved Harper. She’s broken-hearted and deep in grief after the death of her brother, but she got a spine and she wants revenge... on Brandon! After the first few chapters (it’s a bit of a slow start in terms of romance, but give it a bit of time), I thought their love-story seemed very unlikely, but I trusted the author and boy, did she deliver!Revelation after revelation, she chipped away at Harper’s preconceptions and prejudice (and mine!) and delivered a textbook enemies-to-lovers!I loved the dialogues between Harper and Brandon, because they’re very straight with each other. They don’t mince words and are so honest and raw with their feelings. One of the things I love most about Nikki’s bad boys is that they’re not afraid to admit their love, and once they’ve secured the affections of their leading ladies, they firmly put them first and display their love for all to see.Every woman wants to be loved wholeheartedly, unapologetically and publicly, and it’s so touching to see big, burly males wearing their hearts so resolutely on their sleeves.I won’t give any spoilers, but let me say you will LOVE what Nikki J has in store for Brandon and Harper, and their HEA is so fitting, sweet and satisfying.Don’t hesitate and grab your copy now!I’m on tenterhooks for Sandland Rebels #3.(This wasn’t an ARC, I pre-ordered and paid for my copy, and this isn’t one of these courtesy reviews!!)

Raw, gritty and great!
This is the second in the Boys of Sandlewood Series and follows on from Renegade Hearts.Brandon was just as great as I expected he would be. Dark, dirty and not afraid to roll in the mud!I wasn’t sure what would come from Harper. We didn’t see a lot of her in the previous book so I was kind of at a loss but I really liked her and their connection.Another really great book!

Brandon Mathers owns my heart!
"You’ve lost a lot because of me… But that sparkle in your eyes? I wanted to give that back to you. I wanted to see that happiness on your face again."Ugh my heart can't take it! Brandon Mathers officially owns me.This is the kind of story I love... Bad boy with a troubled past but a heart of gold who fights for the ones he loves. When I first read Renegade Hearts (Ryan's story), Brandon stole my heart and I just knew his book was going to slay me.Half way through I had a 😱😱 moment and had to message Nikki to try and squeeze her for info, but of course she was 🤐🤐This book is incredible, so much so it took me only a couple of hours to devour it! Couldn't put it down!I was so thrilled when Nikki announced her surprise release because I couldn't wait to read this book.Nikki has become one of my favourite authors and I am so excited for Finn's book next!

Brandon at his best!
After devouring book 1 I just knew Brandon's story would be the one that would crack wide open and boy did it do that! You can't help but swoon and fall for the bad broken boy and Brandon is just that in spades.... hes lost tortured and looking for someone to save him.So when his life takes a drastic turn leaving him feeling even more vulnerable before he gets the shock of his life when he gets a jolt of life from an unexpected place.Harper is grieving after losing the one person who was as close to her as she could be and there's only one person she can blame for that. But when these guys actually meet up again the intensity of their situation is unreal.Absolutely love each and every way Brandon is in this story from his being a d%^k to his loving ways he's perfect through and through! So look forward to getting Finns book soon.

Loved Brandon!!
Love and hate have such a fine line between them, and Brandon and Harper definitely walk it. After seeing Brandon in book 1, and that ending I couldn’t wait to read his story. He has been broken for awhile, and now after everything that’s happened he’s lost and is living like a ghost in the shadows.I can’t say enough how much I loved him and felt the pain and anguish he was feeling.I loved Ryan and Emily, but their story is nothing compared to Brandon and Harpers. These two are two broken souls and have so much anger inside of them. I did not like Harper for half of the book. I didn’t like how she placed the blame strictly on Brandon for her brothers death. It wasn’t fair. She was spiraling out of control and as much as she annoyed me, it was sad to see too. But my heart really broke for Brandon. Between his past, his childhood and the bullying he suffered, and now being blamed for a man’s death that wasn’t his fault, it all had me hurting for him. I was also a little upset that his friends and Emily didn’t stick up for him at the beginning with Harper. I expected them to remind her that her brother willingly got in that ring, no one forced him. He wasn’t the perfect brother she thought he was, he was responsible for the majority of the pain Brandon suffered from in school. But by halfway, I was loving Harper! These two needed each other more than they ever knew. She finally made Brandon come alive and he was happy, and he made her darkest days better. He was determined to save her from herself and he did! And it was as incredible to see as their story was beautiful to watch transpire. And can I just take a moment to say how much I enjoyed Brandon’s nan! That lady had me laughing. This was another incredible read from the series and I loved every moment of it. I can’t wait to start Effy and Finn’s story next!

great story of inner torment
We all have inner demons we must struggle with. Nikki J Summers did a fabulous job bringing us into the hell others struggle with on a daily basis. We are who we are because of our demons. I love this story. It fell in perfectly behind book 1 in this series.

Amazing!
Well researched, despair, grief and hope, lastly healing, Tortured Souls is a book that perfectly balanced on the thin line between despair and hope. The story starts with a tragedy, making you think that nothing can be salvaged from the ruins of the lives it impacts. But when unlikely new friendships are formed, old loyalties and genuine kindness carry the main characters (as well as many of the supporting cast) through to start healing. The narrators do an amazing job, as always, to bring the characters and action to live, while the author's superb writing carries the reader on sure foot through the turbulence of intense emotions, love, redemption and true friendship. She manages to convincingly turn sworn enemies to be closer than you would ever have expected and villains who are left standing alone in their lonely grapple for influence and power.I was so deeply moved by the narrative that I shed tears more than once, I laughed, and at times felt, as if my heart was flowing over to bursting point.Tortured Souls isn't the first of the author's books I've read, or better, listened to. And it won't be the last, either!

4.5 🍭🍭🍭🍭 :: Spanish & English Opinion
The first one of the series is pretty great but this was my favorite so far.Deep Emotions while reading this story is what makes the book amazingly angsty.Brandon becomes a book boyfriend and his connection with Harper is amazing, full of angsty and raw emotions.Loved it! And now waiting for Finn’s story

Just Give Me A Moment
Oh My Goodness, Hold on I need a second or two to get my thoughts straight.I cannot begin to describe how much I loved this book, how much I loved this story, how much I love these characters and this world. From the moment I started reading this on my lunch break yesterday, there was a lump in my throat, a knot in my stomach and I did something I never do, I had to read the last page of the book to make sure it would be okay, before I could continue reading the whole story.Yes, by doing that I was even more spurred on to discover what happened to Brandon and Harper, but I was also put on edge to read the next book in the series. This world is hypnotising, it is addictive and it is full of twists and turns, that one does not always see coming. I love how Nikki J Summers has managed to create such fully formed characters, who despite flaws and hardships are still truly amazing people. She has managed to create a world in which the men whilst strong and protective choose woman who are equally as strong and determined as they are.The relationships rescue and save each other, there is no victim and no hero, rather a family that chooses each other and is loyal to each other.I love that no matter how much the brothers fight, they always have each others back, I love that the females become so much more than just their romantic partners but also truly their soulmates. This story whilst giving the love story its full and undivided attention, still manages to create a beautiful and expansive world to explore. No matter where you look something is happening and someone is making moves. The enemies to lovers story of Brandon and Harper is so different from that of Ryan and Emily but it is equally as beautiful. I will forever have a soft spot for Brandon, because as much as he drives me crazy, he goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover, and sometimes just sometimes you need to look a little deeper.
