Great price for decent home or about-town rack
Very nice small gig or home studio rack. I got this to replace a giant isobox 24u rack which was no longer needed in my home office; and this fit the bill to hold a drawer, audio receiver, rackmount RAID 5 system, Furman power conditioner, CyberPower backup, and room on top for my Mac and a shoebox RAID for music library. (Photos!) Only negative, and took one star off, was that the funky way the casters are included by securing to the rear rails, and one came loose and was bouncing around inside along with the bag of screws cut open and the silica packets also got sliced ... so it was like a rock tumbler in there; but luckily only some minor scratches and no damage. I would not take this on a real tour, and the rails are not inset by an inch on pegs like much more expensive cases with shock materials; but very nice for price. I'd recommend they consider doing what some other companies do and put the casters and screws in a small box and then secure that with string. Also, for registration, it asks for build date and such from the card inside -- which was .... BLANK! So.... who knows what the build date was for reference. Other than those minor quibbles, I'm very happy with it.

Solid case. Protects your equipment. Quality product.
I only have one thing to say about this case in any negative way: it's heavy. No other way to say it, it's just heavy. Especially once you get your gear in there. That being said. This thing is solid. Great case. Love the recessed locks and handles. I feel very confident that this will protect my equipment during transportation. Plus, the price is pretty nice considering how solid this case is. It also looks really sharp too. I have no qualms about this sitting either on my main DJ table, or a table along side me (when I have more room to set up for bigger events). I haven't found any sharp edges in it which is also a plus.It DOES come with rack screws, so you do not need to buy them separately. However, the rack screws come with these plastic washers that overlap each other on neighboring devices. Buy the "Gator Cases 10/32x3/4-Inch Rack Screws (Black, 25 Pack)" and it'll look much neater. Not needed at all, but if you're picky like I am just get them.Again, fantastic case, now if only it came with a lackey to carry it around for me.

16U's to diminish my blues.
I already have the 14U version, so I knew what I was getting. These racks are great for light to medium use. I'll be using this in my studio, so once it's loaded, it's not going anywhere until I relocate to a larger facility.I knocked 1 star off because it came shipped with the casters screwed into the internal rack rails with 1 screw for each caster. The casters danced around during shipping and bent the rails out of shape. They also cross-threaded several of the screws (/facepalm). I normally only attach gear to the front side so it's not a show-stopper to have bent rails in the back. If they would have used 2 screws per caster to secure them inside the case, then the rails might not have bent. @GATOR->Zip ties would have been the best option to keep these things in place during shipping.

Great HEAVY duty Road Rack Case
These Gator Racks are great HEAVY duty road cases. The construction is very solid, is very good protection for heavy touring. It was just more than I needed, and much heavier than i need. I had only my Carvin bass amp, a Furman Power conditioner & a 4 unit Drawer for cables & small gear & the thing ended up over 100#! So downsizing is my new mantra for 2014!Otherwise, if I could afford a Roadie... this would be GREAT!

Can NOT hold much weight
We loaded right at 100 lbs of equipment in one and before it even left the dock the cushion was smashed down on the bottom. After sending it via Freight to Austin from Dallas the front top edge of the inside box was leaning out a little over an inch. Four bolts that hold the base board (that the wheels are attached to) fell out making it just a box. I HIGHLY suggest you pull these bolts out and use red lock tight on them. Also... before you put anything in it; flip it over and drill a hole to the last board, but not all the way through then fill with great stuff sealer. This helps keep the middle box in place.Over all a very poorly executed design.

Great case for the price.
I was fortunate to be able to buy a slightly damaged one for a reduced price. It comes unassembled, meaning the casters are not mounted. The casters themselves are great. They roll super smoothly and turn well too. The rack rails are threaded properly and installed properly such that your gear mounts perfectly level. The handles and latches are heavy duty.

Rock Solid and Prime Eligible
Great product! Also, it's unbelievable that it is Prime eligible! Other companies were wanting to charge an incredible fee for shipping, but Amazon rocks. The box itself is great - it will be used at a youth camp in the mountains. I suspect it will take years of abuse before it shows any signs of age.

Nice amp case. Better built than Odyssey.
That's what I can say a well built case.I didn't find anything wrong with it.I can easily compare it with my Odyssey cases and say with confidence that Gator is better built than them.No cheap corner anywhere, all of it well assembled together and leveled in opposition with my Odyssey cases !I would not be afraid to carry expensive amp into this case.It will be used only for 1 power conditioner & 1 sequencer for now BUT will eventually be used for amp as soon as I will have found a Gator 14" depth for my power conditioner & sequencer. If I would have take note about its 19" depth, I would have probably pass, BUT I do not regret my purchase at all.Worth the $195 CAD I paid for !I will stand with Gator cases from now on !You will NOT go wrong with Gator cases IF they are all built the same than I got... Trust me !WindGhost
