This is a great book for those that are either thinking about buying or owning a boat that have no prior experience being around boats and for those of us that have been around boats that want more detailed information or advice about various things (like how to use a marine radio, markers, etc). I read the book from cover to cover severeal times before making a decision as to what kind of boat I wanted to buy and it helped me through the process.

This is going to be a gift for someone but it had great reviews so I figured it would be a good buy. I looked through it upon arrival and I think it contains everything and more a new boat owner might need. I think the gift recipient will enjoy it.

This book although a little dated shares many insightful processes when either purchasing a boat or one already owned. Fast delivery and decent price. Condition was as stated. Found many subjects that can be related to a novice owner or as a refresher to the toon family of owners. Was happy that this edition was available.

Lots of useful information for beginners

Wish I had checked the publication date before buying. While it is semi informative, it is a very dated book.

Gift for my boyfriend who wants to buy a pontoon boat for next summer...he enjoyed receiving it...
