Can I Have a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dad? Can I? Please!

My Son is Autistic. When he reads a book and sees an advertisement for a book he wants, he has no concept of time. I have ordered many books for him in varying conditions, not really knowing what I will get. I am very impressed with the condition of this 1999 book. It was delivered in great condition! Wrapped professionally, and delivered very fast! Honestly, It looks and feels new. This will make a great Birthday present! My son and I will be very happy (on his birthday). If they have something again that my son wants, i will be ordering again from Salt Creek First Editions!

I bought this book for a language unit I have on dinosaurs. I think it will be a fun addition to my collection. It will also be a fun way to have my young students think about the problems and illusions this child has about owning a dinosaur, let alone a T-rex, as a pet. I'll have fun using it in the fall.

Nice companion book to Can I have a Stegosaurus. Loved the first book, it one is almost as good.

Great for our Opinion/ Persuasive writing unit. Read this aloud and have the students write their own story. SUCCESS!

My daughter and I love the first so we were expecting more of the same. Unfortunately, this falls quite a bit short of expectations. The illustrations aren't up to the level of "Mom, can I ..." and the text seems somewhat forced and doesn't flow as well as the first. The ending leaves an opening for a sequel although, personally, I wish I had stopped after "Mom, can I have a Stegasorus".

My son absolutely loves this book and I have fun reading it to him. If you liked "Can I have a Stegosaurus?" you will love this new book. It is the perfect book for dinosaur lovers. The illustrations are great too. I highly recommend this book for children aged 3+.
