This fountain works well but be aware of the following…If you want to use this in a bird bath that is 42cm or below then this may not be for you. This fountain pushes the water that high that if there is a breeze or slight wind, it blows the water out of the bath & the water level drops pretty rapid, within minutes. I have a bird bath that size & this is simply to powerful for it.The second issue is it only works continuously if it is in 100% sunlight. If there is a slight shadow across it, it only pumps intermittently. Apart from that this is very good, maybe suited more to a small pond though.

Decided to try this out before going to the trouble of fitting a mains powered fountain for a new pond in our small garden. It bobs around happily, looking for the sun ( which is pretty absent this summer) but on the on the occasional days when it’s in full sun it works well. Easy to clean any pond weed when it gets clogged. Just hoping we get to see it in full flow more !

The media could not be loaded. I love this fountain all I need to do is top the water up every few days and the fountain will work as long as not too cloudy. Awesome in full sun looks and sounds lovely. Good quality and powerfull. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this solar fountain pump based on positive reviews, hoping to add a water feature to my medium-sized whisky barrel pond. The pump arrived with six nozzles and instructions for various configurations, plus some small straws of unknown purpose. While the pump functions well in strong sunlight, consistently providing a water display, it has a significant drawback: the water spray is quite powerful. Even with numerous nozzle adjustments and my own experimental configurations, the slightest breeze causes the water to spray over the edge of the barrel, resulting in water loss. This renders it less effective than hoped for my specific needs. The pump's performance also suffers under slight cloud cover, becoming intermittent and unreliable. While the product itself works as advertised when the sun is out, its power and suitability are questionable for a smaller pond. I'm currently exploring ways to keep the pump more centrally positioned, hoping this might mitigate some of the water spillage. Overall, a decent pump for larger ponds perhaps, but less suitable for my situation.

I have bought one of these every year for the past three for a small garden pond. However this one is not anywhere near as effective as the other two we have had. Of course we expect this relatively cheap item to have a limited effective life span but the previous two have provided a much better fountain of water and have done so for the best part od the summer and following autumn, only getting weaker after a whole year. . This one does not perform any better than the previous (cheaper) one is still performing and which I bought it to replace. . I wouldn't buy this brand againUpdate to above review: I informed Amazon the item did not work and they sent me return instructions and told me I would receive a refund. I handed the item in to their named carriers as instructed and received a receipt. Now, weeks later Amazon say they did not receive the item and have charged me for the full cost from the original payment method. I want to show them my receipt for the item but there seems to be no mechanism for doing this. I am seriously considering cancelling my Amazon Prime membership as the relationship between Amazon and its customers seems to be one that is intrinsically one where customers do not have a fair deal

Delivered promptly and well packed. In full sun it's perfect, if you walk across the direct sunlight the height of the spray will decrease then pick upp again as soon ass you're out of the way, so position is important. Having said that I'm very pleased with it and the height of the spray is perfect for the tub it's in. Would recommend to others for a small water feature. It would work wwell in a smalldrip tray as long as the water is replenished regularly. Very good value for money.

I’ve only just got this so can’t comment on if it’s going to last until the weekend or the next 20 years - hopefully somewhere I between. However, I am pleased with it. We have a birdbath by our sunny patio and I thought it would be nice to add a bit of interest. It arrived the day after I ordered it, I took it out of the box, used my common sense to stick a few bits together and dropped it into the birdbath. Hey presto! Instant fountain. Very pleased. The main jet went up about 40cm, which is fine for the size of the birdbath, and I’ll play around with the other nozzles to see which I like the best. It’s self contained, simple to use and extremely good value for less than £20. If it dies this summer I’ll update the post to say so but if this review goes unchanged then it’s doing its job.Review update. It’s still working fine but I’m going to adjust this review in light of experience. I first used the solar fountain in a birdbath but found that after a few days it stopped because the water had evaporated. If it is very warm and windy the fountain of water evaporates quite quickly so I gave up on that and just lobbed it into my garden pond where it has quite happily been fountaining away even in low sun. I have taken out to clean the algae off it twice but apart from that it’s good. If you have a largish container of water such as a large tub or barrel it will be fine.

Great little pump, gets stronger when the sun comes out. I went for the second sized pump ( weaker pump would have worked just as good for the job I had in mind) to place in a plant pot filled with decorative stone and water, found I was topping up the water regularly as the wind blew the jet of water outside the pot.I bored a larger hole in the single jet nozzle to take some of the pressure down and it worked great, less topping up.

The birds love these little fountains in their bird bath, or in the pond. The only issue is it is quite windy where I am and the wind will push them to the side so that they are spraying out of the bath or pond. Easy fix though, I just hung a heavy washer from the bottom as an anchor and they work perfectly now. The plus is no batteries or wires, they are completely solar so on a real cloudy day they do not spray quite as high, but they work, and at night they shut down so you are not wearing out parts. Also very easy to clean when debris get sucked into the pump. Will be getting a couple more in the spring.

This is a replacement for a fountain bought several months ago, which has stopped working. Pump not running.Worked well for a short time. Looks nice.Not happy with life of unit.🙁 but will try again.

Wenn das Wasser halbwegs sauber ist - also wenig Algen und die Sonne scheint, ein herrliches Gefühl, wenn das Wasser plätschert. Funktioniert super mit Solar.Das Gefäß sollte allerdings groß genug sein - das Wasser verdunstet relativ schnellt und bei Wind wird es ggf. auch aus dem Gefäß geblasen...Zudem sollte man das Wasser möglichst sauber halten, da die Löcher ansonsten schnell mit Algen verkleben. Alles in allem - ein schönes, kühlendes und angenehmes Sommer Accessoire. Preislich voll ok.
