Jim Root: The Sound and the Story

I bought this DVD for my boyfriend because he is a huge Jim Root fan. I've only seen maybe five minutes of it, but from what I did see, he talks about what any huge fan of him would want to hear; what growing up was like, early band days with Stone Sour and Slipknot etc. This is an awesome DVD because after my boyfriend watched some of it, he couldn't stop thanking me for it c:

This DVD of Mr. Root is a masterpiece and soon to be a classic. I am a long-time Slipknot/Stone Sour fan and when I learned that my favorite guitarist had this DVD available, I knew that I had to have it within my collection. He is very, very talented and such a down to earth human being in his own right. Thank you Amazon and thank you Jim Root for this amazing video. Well worth the money.

Beware if you order to the UK, I got hit with a £13.50 customs charge for this dvd !!!, Great dvd though with plenty of lessons by Jim although im not a good enough player to take full advantage just yet - some really good interviews all about his career too, he comes across a very funny and likable guy who really loves the guitar

So worth it...ive been trying to learn many of the songs on this dvd but i had troubles with just looking at tabs...but after watching the lessons i learned the song in no time..the only thing i dont like is that there isnt that much slipknot song

Purchased for my son as a Christmas present. He is learning to play guitar and Jim Riot is one of his favorite guitar players. He had watched it more than once and constantly talks about it. Has learned a technique or two as well.

An absolute MUST for an Jim Root fan! the "story" part of the DVD is great and the extras of all his guitars is kind of funny to watch. Also comes with a killer tab booklet to accompany the lessons and song breakdowns.

Jim Root is always good value. The first disc is more about his History with bands and where he is at now. Actually he's only in Slipknot now but the 2nd disc has a few lessons. It's definitely NOT a songbook type of DVD.

Bought this as a gift for my husband he really likes it.

Mein Sohn spielt Gitarre und wir hören beide Slipknot und StoneSour. Deshalb dachte ich, die DVD könnte zur Verbesserung seiner Fähigkeiten helfen. Wobei das reine Üben und Abschauen der Griffe bei dieser DVD eher nebensächlich sind. Die Art, mit der Jim Root die "Lernstoff" vermittelt ist einfach angenehm, unterhaltsam und zum Teil lustig. Er macht einen sehr bodenständigen und sympathischen Eindruck. So habe ich totalen Spaß daran, ihm beim Spielen der 11 Stücke (6 StoneSour und 5 Slipknot) zuzusehen.Er zeigt dann jede einzelne Passage jedes Liedes in langsam und schnell. Er geht nicht jeden Griff durch. Also als Grundkurs ist diese DVD nicht geeignet.Aber für Fans, die sich intensiv mit Jim und seiner Geschichte bei Slipknot und StoneSour auseinander setzen wollen und Fans der Gitarrenmusik sind, ist es eine tolle Anschaffung.Man sollte aber schon ein wenig Englisch können....

Mega geile DVD kann ich jedem empfehlen der Stone Sour oder Slipknot liebt. Viele Extras dabei wie ein Nozenbuch von verschiedenen Liedern.

内容は満足ですが、ケースのディスクをはめる部分が割れていたので、少しがっかりしました。
