I have owned several mini butane torches (there are actually a surprising number of uses them; I once was in a jam on the highway with a flat tire and couldn't get the lug-bolts off with the wrench. I remembered the torch, and that loosened them.Of the torches I have owned, this one is the best with a solid base to stand on, a strong, but adjustable flame, and a perfectly clean blue flame. The seller, ATLAS Gerus are every bit as good as the torch. I bought this for cooking things like creme brulee. I like the gas control. with little kids in the house, the design makes it near impossible for a little kids to accidentally start the torch.I'm thinking of getting another butane torch for hobby projects. If I do, no question I'll buy this again.Very highly recommended.Ephraim

VERY well made and easy to use! The stand is very stable, the size perfect, the flame is powerful. Important for me, it's easy to turn on, requiring only one hand, and easy to turn on for arthritic hands.

It brûlée'd the s#!t out my ... cooking projects.Nice price, good performance.It was a bit larger than I expected.

This is something everyone who cooks will want to get! This torch was great for cooking and heating food. The ability for it to stay on without holding your finger down on the ignite button was an excellent feature. This makes it easier to use, and feels much safer then holding it the whole time you want to use it. I burns very hot, and is perfect for cooking. The dial controlling the size and intensity of the flame is convenient. To refill the tank will require a longer universal to for any butane fuel refill bottle.

Works well but I had a little trouble with the butane part. I purchased to use on dessert items and they turned out well. It's lightweight and good quality. It's not a everyday kitchen item but it's ideal for creative dinner ideas or holidays. I think it will be fun to experiment with.

I only posted as a three as i have yet to use it. It was not advertised that it didnt include the butane container. I wish it would have. It looks nice and seems sturdy. It has a safety switch which is a plus.
