Installation Was Straight Forward But Seriously Lacking In Instruction
I have been using a facial cleansing brush for almost 2 years now. One of the biggest issues I have is that I have a really small bathroom and so rinsing my face off by splashing water on it normally soaks the entire sink area. To be fair that is only a few inches on each side of the sink itself but it is annoying. I much prefer washing my face in the shower for this reason as it makes a lot less mess. I can use my normal brush in the shower but the idea that it would be self rinsing is so nice. I normally have to work a lot harder to get off some of the clay masks and this looked like a great option.I have installed several shower heads over the years and this was similar to those but the instructions were really lacking considering the almost $200 price tag. I was able to get it installed and working within about 20 minutes. If you haven't ever worked with shower heads you might find this process a bit more tricky with the lack of instructions. Once the shower head brush is installed it is super easy to swap back and forth between your normal shower head and your brush. Please note that based on the way this needs to be installed you need a normal shower head. If you have one that already has a normal head and then a hand held attachment as well you won't be able to add this brush head to that set up. A couple of other thoughts. I have used the brand name facial cleansing brush for more than 2 years now. I have loved it the entire time and have bought many different replacement heads for it. I believe it was worth every penny and I have never been disappointed in the results. I think this brush is on par with the quality of the one I have. I also love that you can wash your face in the shower and have it spray the water and use the brush at the same time. This is a game changer for getting dried on clay mask off your face. I love clay masks but the effort required to remove them keeps me from using them nearly as often as I would like. I do think that I would be just as pleased with this brush as the one I previously had but you can only use it within reach of your shower. So unless you shower twice a day everyday you are going to need another option to wash your face during those times. Then you are back to paying for both the almost 200 dollar shower version here and another 200 for the normal version. I would recommend this hydrojet but I am not sure I would recommend getting it if you already have the brand name normal version. Overall it is good product but a little excessive unless you just have money to burn.

Surprisingly good. Cleans and feels great!
This Michael Todd Beauty Hydrojet – Pore-Purifying, Facial Cleansing System - 6-Speed Detoxifying Brush for All Skin Types is surprisingly good! It's also pretty easy to install if you've ever installed a shower head before. I was able to install it myself without any problems. I already had a double shower head with a diverter installed, but I hardly used the second shower head. So, I unhooked it and hooked this in its place. That way, I can turn my main shower head off and just use this, even when I don't want to turn on the shower.I'm only 4'11", so washing my face, neck, and décolleté at my bathroom sink has always been a challenge. When trying to rinse, water goes down my arms and chest, instead of onto my face and into the sink. Having this hydrojet installed in my bath/shower makes it very easy for me to wash my face, neck, and décolleté by just leaning over the bathtub. I no longer have water running down my arms and chest, and the bathroom floor does not get wet. And, it cleans well, but not harshly. And, it feels pretty great, too! My bath/shower is nothing special to look at, but having this hydrojet brush cleanser makes it feel a bit luxurious.I'm really enjoying this Hydrojet facial cleanser a lot more than I thought I would. I kind of thought it might just be a bit gimmicky, but it has really made a big difference in how well and easily I can wash my face, neck, & décolleté now. It is a luxury, but it's also very practical. It feels very well made and looks fabulous. It is packaged nicely and would make a wonderful gift for someone special. I would absolutely recommend it!

Sometimes less is more
I was excited to try this system out because it seems like a great concept, but didn't think about the big picture at the time. Installation for the most part is easy, especially if you have any experience changing shower heads. I did encounter a problem that they have apparently fixed. The holder for the handset that was included with my kit is different than the picture now. The revision appears to be a holster installed with 3M adhesive. The one included with this set is a suction cup. It is too large of a diameter to work on our tile, so it's worthless for us. I tried the suction cup on a larger diameter tile, and it doesn't stick well anyway unless you have a very smooth flat shower tile/surface. Hopefully the revised version works well. I was just placing the handset in a shower caddie, or letting it hang down. When it comes to performance and purpose, the hydrojet works great and is somewhat fun to use... but it really doesn't serve a purpose or solve a problem, it only creates more clutter and hassle. I have to detach the handset every time that I want to charge it, which isn't a big deal, but it's unscrewing the unit instead of some sort of quick release. I am usually using a facial brush with a cleanser, so having the water jet cancels this out.... so it's only really good for rinsing the cleanser off after using the sonic brush? It's just so much easier to just get a typical facial sonic/spinning brush. No installation, no clutter, and 1/5 the price. Less is more in this case. I uninstalled this after a week of use, mostly because the holster didn't work.. but also because the system serves no real purpose or benefit imo.

Better options for the price
I installed this powered shower head in handicapped shower room. Pros & cons:Pros:1. Easy to install although there are no installation instructions included. If you've ever done any DIY plumbing it's pretty straightforward.2. Fully adjustable - you can set the master valve to either shower head or to both at the same time.3. Flow adjustment on hand held wand. At full pressure it can be pretty intense but you can adjust it down to just a trickle if desired.4. Long hose from valve to shower head.Cons:1. The unit charges via a relatively short magnetic power cord. I don't have any outlets near enough to the shower head to use an outlet. I have to recharge the unit using a power bank. It's not terribly inconvenient but a longer power cord would have solved the problem.2. The brush head is very soft. I like a stiffer brush for cleaning my face. Why not include a couple of different brush heads? For the price it would seem to make sense.Bottom line: This is kinda neat but for $10 I can buy a facial brush that has bristles more to my liking and I can use it while letting my regular shower head stream water to my face, basically getting the same affect.

Nice, but expensive | Michael Todd Beauty Hydrojet – Pore-Purifying, Facial Cleansing System
Interesting concept with the idea of putting a facial scrubber directly into your shower system. I see a lot of other reviews saying it's a good way to use a facial scrubber in the shower, but honestly you could do that with any number of facial scrubbers without the need to install it as a showerhead. This was a lot more trouble to set up than I was expecting and it didn't have very detailed instructions. Luckily my husband is experienced with installing plumbing stuff like this so he was able to muddle through.Initially I had planned on putting this into my master shower, but I just didn't like the idea of sticking that sticker onto my stone walls, so we ended up putting it into the guest bath. It's kind of a nice addition for guests staying with us, however I can already predict that other users of the shower will be using it on all kinds of body parts, so I doubt it'll be my facial scrubber for long.. The spray works well and gets good water pressure as long as you haven't already split your line a bunch. I'm literally just repeating what my husband said there, so not 100% sure exactly what it means but probably exactly what it sounds like - you can't expect this to have good water pressure if you've diverted that pressure multiple times already. This has a unique aesthetic that does kind of (to me) look a little cheap. For $100, I wish it was just a plain metal color (or black) and didn't have the weird faux marbling. I doubt that's fooling anyone in my house. Especially with rubber grips on the side.Overall I don't know. This is a neat device but I didn't feel as enthusiastic as I'd have hoped to feel about a $100 skincare facial scrubber. It does fling water, so even with a shower curtain, we have still found water droplets outside of the shower after use. I do think the scrubbing clean you get with it is deep and effective, and the device feels like good quality. I think if it were closer to $50, and were available in more plain or muted tones, I would be more interested in ordering it again. For now I'll say this is a fun gift item if you can afford the spend, but it isn't something I'd consider a necessary facial care item or even all that practical in the long run.
