No battery required; Just like riding a bike! Your hand is the battery of this device. The motion of your hand rotating the Spinner is similar to making ice cubes swirl inside a glass. The essence of operating the Spinner is not about how fast you rotate your wrist. It?¡¥s about how to synchronize your wrist rotation to the momentum and timing the rhythm of the rotor?¡¥s gyration. The faster the rotor spins, the easier it is to operate. Make sure you start the Spinner with sufficient speed. The more exciting part is, this exercise ball lights up when it's spinning! And the LED light is not powered by batteries but your spinning. It's battery free. No need to worry about power running out. It will keep lighting up as long as it's spinning!

Amazing lil thing with patience
Wow. If you can get it going correctly, and that means with very little arm movement just all about grip and wrist and forearm then you'll get the most out of it. I love it and really feel the burn after a short time of using it. I even felt the stiffness and soreness days later as if i had actually used weight resistance. Practice...cause it takes a lil time to learn how to get it going. Use the string it's much easier. You'll get frustrated, but trust me it works. I like to use a glove of some sort because my hand will sweat and then it's impossible to hold on to the thing...fyi. Again.....it WORKS VERY WELL.

great product.
Works great. Too great. I use it at the office and now EVERYBODY wants one. I have already promised two as christmas presents and there are a few employees that have purchased their own. I really do use it to relax (not show off) I play piano once in a while and I feel it has loosened my left wrist (the one I tend to have the most problems with)

RPM or bust
This "toy" is a good conversation piece too. It's fun for a while to play with, but does sit now. But for what it does, it's cool.Instead of exercising, it's a way to compete to see who can get the highest RPM

Fun Passtime
After a friend of mine showed me a similar gyro ball, I got curious and just had to try it out for myself. This ball was an unexpected wrist workout -- the faster you get the ball spinning, the more it wants to jump out of your hand! Me and a few of my friends had a blast passing the gyro off and trying to see how long we could keep it running. A fun thing to just carry around for times when you have nothing better to do.

A real workout.
One of the best types of these exercise balls for the price. Motion is smooth, quieter than other balls that I have used.. Display modes are nice. I have gotten it up to 9980 rpms. LEDs are bright!

Good unit, but not self starting
The unit is good, the only issue I have with it is that you really have to use the string to start it. I've tried many times and I can't get it to start without the string.
