Charging Port Headphone Jack Flex Cable Replacement for iPhone 6S Plus (5.5'') - Grey

Just what was needed to fix a worn lightning port on my daughters 6S. Exact fit and device is working fine.Note that the process was quite involved and tedious with many, many small screws to remove. Do yourself a favor and buy quality screwdrivers that are magnetic and wont strip/cam out, this is the set I use myself -  Vastar 12 Pieces Cell Phone Repair Tool Kit for iPhone 4/ 4S/ 5/ 5C/ 5S/ 6/ 6 Plus/ 6S/ iPad 4/ 3/ 2/ Mini, iPods and More with Vastar Cleaning Cloth The repair process was also different than videos I found so take a picture every single step so you know what screws go where and how, also keep the screws and parts in an ice cube tray to orginaize and make easy to see.Be very, very careful when you first open the device, the ribbon cable to the screen speaker/camera assembly is very fragile and will tear easily. I accidently stressed mine and had to replace that assembly as well to get the ear speaker and cameras working again.

My iPhone started to charge intermittently and troubleshot it to the charging port...simply because as I moved the charging cable around, it would drop and catch the charge. I was not able to feel the click the cable used to make when plugging it in.After installing this part (youtube has all the great how-tos on making this happen), this worked great! I had an initial concern and it was because the length of one section was ever so slightly longer than the part it was replacing, however, it all fit just fine. My charging is back to normal.So, if you are having issues charging, this could be your issue. If it is, get this part from E-Repair. Shipping was super fast and the part worked great!

The item was packaged in a small plastic ziplock type baggie inside in a large envelope from Amazon that had other larger items in it as well. There was no protection for this small and sensitive item. It had no instructions, and had I been any less observant I would not have known to take the plastic tabs off of the microphone port prior to installation. I used a video off YouTube for instructions. I would recommend this item to others with the warning of "take your time and keep your screws organized".

I bought this with a new battery for my iPhone 6s Plus. Thinking I needed to replace it too. Because I fell in a river with my phone. And fried the battery (at the time I didn't know It was just the battery) I've taken apart my iPad before to put in a new screen. So the phone was easy everything's there when you open it up you just have to be careful and take your time not to damage anything.I'm no iPhone technician.

My only issue with this is that the Taptic Engine on my phone will not work now. I tested the Taptic Engine with my old hardware and it works so for my order the connection must be bad. Still better than having a phone that doesn’t charge I guess.
