Hello, our copepods can be stored in the fridge (in the top shelf of the door, or warmest part) between 38-55F for up to three weeks. Each bottle has an use by date written on it that is three weeks after the date it was bottles for ease of use.

Yes - we definitely recommend it - the phytoplankton serves as the primary food source for the copepods while they are in your tank ( and it's what we feed them in our own facility) - dosing with phytoplankton daily will give your copepods the fuel they need to reproduce in your tank! We typically recommend 16oz of Pods + Phyto/ 45 gallons of tank volume - depending on how much livestock you have/plan to have in your tank you could either go with 16oz or 32oz of each monthly!
