What if the opponent is a black guy? Unless the person you are sparring with has a disability of the vision I think it wouldn't make any difference... I like the black with white letters ....

What's is "skintex leather"? Is that some proprietary synthetic or is it real leather?

I believe it's a hybrid synthetic leather, I will say that these are very durable I have 3 pair and all 3 are still like new and they are used 3 times a week for kick boxing

They come in a pair. Each shin guard also tells you which leg they are supposed to be worn on. If you look at the outer corner near the top, each shin guard will either say “right” or “left”. The one that says “right” goes on the right leg. The one that says “left” goes on the left leg.
