Once you slip into Staheekum's Fur Scuff, you'll never want to leave the house again. This padded slip-on has plush faux fur linings for warmth, and its treaded rubber sole offers grip on any slippery surface. In the high-mountain valley known as Staheekum, the rivers run cold, the mornings are brisk and the winters come early. Yet its residents remain comfortably warm right down to their foot, due in no small part to Staheekum Brand Slippers. Inside, natural sheepskin caresses your feet; outside a velvety natural upper surrounds them. Yet despite this unparalleled level of comfort, Staheekums are as rugged as their namesake landscape thanks to handcrafted construction using the finest natural materials. Staheekum is synonymous with comfortable surroundings. Whether that's from the valley's reputation or slippers is often debated late into the night.

Quality on a Downward Spiral
Same old story I suppose. You buy a product that you just love and you wear it out. You're thrilled when you see it's still available and you can replace it . . . . . . and then what you get is so inferior it's disgraceful. Never mind disappointing.I got my first Staheekums at Marshalls Thanksgiving weekend 2004. The shearling interior was so lush and full I didn't want to take them off. And, quite frankly, I'm not much of a slipper person. I go barefoot. But these slippers were like foot magnets. The sole was rubbery and non-skid too. Over the years I wore the shearling down until I decided I needed that soft and lush feeling replaced.I saw what I was led to believe was the same slipper, and ordered the same size which had fit perfectly. The undersides of the soles are indeed the same size, but now the material is plastic-y, not the solid rubbery texture of the 2004 pair. And now when the feet slide in, they want to slide out really fast. The amount of shearling is reduced by about two-thirds, making the dome of the slipper feel huge and cardboardy. They're not just a full size or more too big, but also a downright bad fit. They are hard all round, not soft.I will NEVER buy another Staheekum anything. It's made-in-China JUNK, with no quality control, marketed to make unwary buyers think they're getting an original piece of the rugged Northwest. If they're Staheekums, don't keep 'um!

Wrong size
I ordered this product and cancelled it the same day, yet I still got it in the mail. They looked all right but when I put them on they were floating on me. I asked for a size 8 and they sent me an 8W. They were just 9.99. so I kept them but I have to wear very thick socks with them. Just don't like them because they are glued not sewn and you can't wash them in the washing machine. I feel like a fast one has been pulled on me. On the sizing it does not show 8W just 8. No wonder they came so cheap. The other colors were $30.00+. I know they were sneaking in the ones they couldn't sell. I am going to wash them in the washing machine maybe they'll shrink. lol. Since they are some kind of suede I know they will get hard or something. I have a lot of slippers like those only they are knitted on the outside and furry on the inside. Got them at Costco. I thought these might be the same. Oh well for 9.99 what can you expect. I'll wear them to do yard work.

5 Star Review ~ I love them!!!
I just received these Beautiful slippers! I would have been skeptical as a lot of reviews say they are not sized well. I realized that in less expensive brands I wear a size 11, with higher quality products like Staheekum I wear a size 10. My last pair purchased several years ago are very well worn and I will continue to wear them at home. They have a heavier sole and this pair was chosen for a lighter sole. You can't go wrong with the Staheekum brand, they are very well made and fully lined. Great value at Amazon as always!

Best slippers ever.
I'm not really a shoe kind of person so I needed a pair of slippers that can handle every day wear and tear, and still be super comfy. I bought my first pair like 2 years ago and fell in love. I'm now on to my third pair and they are still just as great. They keep my feet warm and dry though rain, yes I wear them in the rain even, and they're not too hot in the summer to wear also.I'm soo glad I found these slippers. I love them.

Sturdy Slipper
Warm, natural fiber upper with a non-slip synthetic sole. I would have preferred a suede sole for more flexibility, but they are impossible to find now. I guess these have the virtue of being able to take a trip up and down the driveway to get the paper, just don't get them wet, the spots won't come out.

As good as UGGs but at a great price and US made
Great scuff. As good as UGGs for sure--but a great price and US made.Of course, the black ones take time for the dye to stop coming off; if your feet are damp or you wear them a long time, you'll be washing black off of your feet. Looks like dirty feet. Also, during the break-in period, some wool fluffs off. Both issues (the dye and wool fluff) are normal for new, shearling scuffs.

Comfy and warm
I've had several pairs of these for a few years now. The lining sheds a bit and then tends to pack down, but these are warm and comfy on cool Autumn days and cold Winter nights. Wear them inside the house or out to the mailbox, since the soles are tough enough.

I'm on my fourth pair!!!
I live in Wyoming where it gets cold and stays cold for most of the year. I wear my slippers every day even in the summer due to cold hard wood floors! My only suggestion is to make them a little more narrow so when the inside fur forms to your feet there isn't so much wiggle room.
