Sharp bright clear viewing Excellent VFM.
My main binocular is a Swarovski 12x50 EL, witch TBH i dont like using in fowl weather! may be am a wuss but they are somewhat expensive!! So have "traditionally " used a secondary Bin for winter , however i think my eyesight has changed a wee bit recently? and cant seem to get pin sharp focus on previous winter bins, this warranted the purchase of this Opticron bin- on the back of the stated long eye relief. This Opticron bin does indeed have long eye relief, as with any bin its really important to set up your dioptre and IPD (eye width) correctly. The center hinge is somewhat stiff, this is an advantage because its saves need for frequent re- adjustment. Once you have calibrated the binocular to your physiology, they are VERY rewarding to use, clear bright sharp images are delivered!! , which , at the price is astonishing! the case and lanyard supplied are frankly poor, but, it keeps the cost down and you can upgrade if you wish (with Opticron items-whatever), i always like it when a bin, in fading light, makes the distant image appear lighter than it actually is compared to naked eye observation, and this binocular does that very well. the VFM aspect is insane, the image quality IMO is excellent, they come with 2 year warranty , I understand they are not metal bodied but so what? ( if you drop a metal binocular it will distort or fracture) if they were they would be far far more expensive. So, an excellent binocular WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!

Probably good for the price
It is taking me a while to get used to these and I’m not overly happy with them for the price. The right hand adjustable eye rim which screws in and out for use with and without glasses (very useful) is so loose that it’s always accidentally going down to the position for wearing with glasses. It happens without you realising and you’re suddenly out of focus then realise it’s that that has happened again. The neck strap and it’s plastic adjustment fittings are of very poor quality and after only half a dozen uses one of mine broke so I’ve had to tie the strap together on one side. It’s a shame because the light is good and the image is super, once you’ve worked out how to place your eyes on them. I have to hold them against my upper brow in order to get the single image. I’ve got used it this. It it was a big adjustment after years of actually having the eyepieces around my eyes in the sockets with my old Nikon’s. I think in summation, I should have purchased something as personal as this from a ship where I could try them out.

Perfect for glasses wearers
I was searching for a pair of bins that suited spectacle wearers and fortunately I found these.Didn't know what eye relief meant but when I found out I began looking for high mm bins. These were 20mm and perfect for me. Clear vision and clarity ,good weight too.Excellent value for money and delivered within hours. Very happy with my purchase. If you wear glasses these are for you.

Faulty eye relief
Only been used a few times the eye relief has stop working. Trying to get them to replace or repair, cannot get through to anybody. Only 5 months old, very disappointing.

Poor quality build, optically good value
Optically the binoculars are good value given the price point. They are comfortable to hold. Eye relief is short and therefore not great if you wear specs. However the eyecups failed within a year and would not lock in place rendering the binoculars unusable. Customer service for the item on Amazon is misleading and I am now left with an item that is of little use.
