perfect keep in pack at all times (on east coast ). Lightweight. Covers the majority of edibles that I am interested in. It covers most of the species (on east coast) that would cause a fungi-hunter a great deal of harm. Latin taxonomy classification of mushrooms change more often than my wife changes shoes, but all the names i checked in the book match standards of the moment. Excellent publication.

This is not a comprehensive book, but it is very helpful. i like the edibility information - choice, edible, etc. The photos are great and the information on where to find them is good. However, as the book says, do not eat anything unless you know for sure what it is!
