Predictably twists and turns
So predictable but so good! Silver, though a star since childhood, was written as a warm, caring person and she gives the story interest. Instead of selfish behavior she is thoughtful of the right thing to do. Ben is also an understanding man and has used the past to try not to make the same mistakes. Everything seems so real, from his loving but damaged family members to the sights, sounds and chill of the trail ride in the Sierras. A lot of things have to find ways of working out but Silver's dad is determined to snatch any happiness Ben and Silver find and the enjoyment I found in their story was following the twists of feelings and logic that kept leading them to crossroads. Looking forward to more from the Miller family!

Stay or Go?
Ben Miller can't believe that his father has left his ranch to his oldest brother Adam - alone! Ben is unsure of his place on the ranch, handling all the jobs that no one else wants (or so he thinks). He's eager to do something to prove to himself that he is worthy of trust and can do more than he is allowed to on the Miller Ranch. When an opportunity arises to escort someone on a difficult trail ride, the Morgans ask Ben if he will do it. When he finds out that the guest rider is a famous and beautiful movie star, he is anxious but attempts to go ahead with his commitment. He and Silver have to do a lot of teaching, working, and making things work. Things have been kept from both of them and they have to find answers as well as trust. When Ben needs help, Silver is able to help him and surprises both him and herself. Their fathers, however, have to be reckoned with. Both Ben and Silver have to trust themselves as well as each other.

Great read
This was such a sweet story! Ben & Silver were meant for each other. They are both kind, honest, loving people. I love that in characters. In the real world all the kind & caring people are out into the basket of deplorables, so I appreciate reading a story where good people come out ahead.

Rancher Stories Rock!
A lot of angst, but with plenty of humor to tone it down. I really liked the characters, especially the main ones. I bought both Book 3 and 5 on faith, assuming both would be good. Now, looking forward to Kaiden and Evan's stories.

Happy Sigh
I loved this story. Okay, I wanted to punch a couple of fathers in the nose, but that’s sort of what made the story. All Kate Pearce’s characters come across as real people, even the supporting (and non-supportive) minor characters. They are a mix of good and bad, not just stereotypes. And the love story really is a love story, two people figuring out how to make their lives meet so that they can both have what they need to be happy and productive, yet still be together.

Good read.
A good read. The story is well written and edited. The actual storyline starts out well but thenBecomes predictable. The over-controlling father is becoming trite when the characters couldJust talk to each other to prevent most issues.

Great read and great series
Lovely book, great story and interaction between the main characters, liked that the majority of the book was just about Ben and Silver alone in the wild getting to know each other without the added stress of Silver's entourage. Still had the background of family interfering in their lives, some good, some bad. Also love the way humor is written into the stories to keep them from getting too dark. Especially like the reference to seven brides for seven brothers film which is a favourite film . Kate Pearce is an exceptional writer who keeps you engaged throughout the whole book very hard to put down once you start

Another western romance from the Millers of Morgan Valley series.
I really am enjoying Kate Pearce's style of writing. Her cowboys are awesome. They are full of fun, they believe in hard work and they care for the people in both their family, and in their community. This novel brings together Ben and Silver, two folks from vastly different backgrounds, and how they overcome these obstacles to find each other. Totally enjoyable from start to finish.

Nothing Special
A run of the mill cowboy book, nothing special or outstanding. Expected better, all in all I found it rather boring. Certainly not a keeper.
