Scam. Closer to 4x than 40.
If this is a 40x scope, I am the King of England. I have not yet had time to compare it to another known cope, but I predict it will be closer to 4, based on the magnification I see. Suspect they simply deleted the decimal point after the 4. I will try a return, though I suspect I've lost the $.
