"I may be gone but Rock and Roll lives on"
Good book for learning about the legend as I can't help but remember certain scenes still stuck in my memory bank like the "bee" scenes from SNL and his antics in the movie "Animal House" and "Blues Brothers." Not so good in that the only actual picture of him provided was on the cover. I definitely learned some thing about him I didn't know like him having been demoted from sixth grade back to second grade at one time and the horrible panic attacks he used to have from being far from home. Editing was also more of an issue in this book than most by Charles River editors, but overall it was still a good book for starting to get to know some things about the man. I wish John Belushi was still with us as he was one that truly made me laugh...

Jake Blues
I have watched S.N.L. from the beginning in 1975. So I have followed Jim's whole career. He was the best and like Jim Carrey their never will be another. R.I.P. and thanks for the laughter. I have the "best of J.B." S.N.L. DVD and The Blues brothers,Animal house too, which I watch and re-watch at least twice a year. And you never fail to make my day when I do.Thanks John, miss you bro.

John Belushi
This was a nice book to read and remember John Belushi as an entertainer. Belushi was too mesmerizing to carry just a comedian label. As incredibly funny as he was, there was also something that cried out to an ache in his soul. I think it would have been much cooler to have an "Animal House " photo of him on the book cover.

John gone too soon....
Wow, I had no idea! This was really a great read. It's so sad when a young man dies that young but to be as good as he was at giving the world laughter, that's even sadder. I would not presume to try and explain this book, it's one you just have to read to understand.

Interesting
Although I was not much of a John Balushi fan, this book gave me additional information about him, which I appreciate. I had failed to consider the amount of time and work it takes for a performer to prepare and maintain his high level of output to please his audience. Balushi was a burst of excess energy. Good Book.

Another good, quick look into a life
Charles River Editors never fails to give you the meat and potatoes in a concise way. I've read a number of their books and have not been disappointed yet.

I found this book to be very interesting and entertaining. It covers a tragic ending to a man who had a lot to offer.
