Extremely Pleased
I was replacing an older ac window unit that was originally purchased for a much smaller room than my existing one, and was just not cutting it in this space. I wanted an upgrade but also something that would last and be as effective as possible at cooling my fourth floor NYC bedroom in the unbearable humid summers.I did a ton of research and originally bought the Midea U-Shaped unit, but due to it’s obtuse design it didn’t work with my furniture set up and had to return it. This was actually my 2nd choice, but boy am I glad I returned the Midea and got this one!Installation was super easy and I was able to do it myself (I’m 29 and in ok shape) —the box and unit were definitely heavy but I didn’t experience any difficulty putting it in the window. I have a brace support outside for extra assurance but this thing feels very sturdy in my metal window and I’m comfortable leaving it in there year-round which I prefer.I haven’t had the chance to use it in sweltering heat yet but ran a lot of tests and this thing is POWERFUL. It blasts ice-cold air, especially with the fan settings which move tons of air around my large-ish room with high ceilings. It also easily cools the rest of my one bedroom apartment (~400 sq ft) with the doors open. It’s not exactly quiet but if you’re used to typical AC sound level it won’t be a problem. This thing has just the right amount of features without being complicated. I was able to connect to the app easily and I’m excited to use it remotely to cool the room after being away. The temperature only goes down to 64 but it’s powerful enough to not need to go below that even at the low fan setting. It may not be as “pretty” as Windmill or July, but has a very clean modern design that I appreciate, the buttons & LED lights (that turn off shortly after making an adjustment) fade into the design seamlessly.Overall I’m extremely pleased with getting this one, it works flawlessly and I’m excited to experience a far more comfortable summer. Highly recommend if you want to skip an overpriced gimmicky product from a brand you’ve never heard of, and need a straight-forward powerful AC from a trusted brand that does exactly what it’s supposed to.

Life saver!
EDIT : The front louvres ARE adjustable. I just missed it when I was looking. It's a great unit.My house is a bit of a stone oven with direct sun exposure all day, including the hot late afternoon/evenings when it comes pouring into my west facing windows. My house was built in the late 40s and I have not been able to update to central air yet. This thing is a life saver! I have a small portable unit in my bedroom and this 14,000 btu unit in my living room. Between the two, my entire house stays cool and comfortable. I have 1275 sq feet total. The living room, dining room and entryway make up one large room with a doorway connecting the kitchen on one side and a hallway leading to the bathroom and bedrooms on the other side. The cool air from this unit is able to keep my kitchen, guest bedroom and bathroom cool as well as the main living area. I do have to crank up the volume on my TV when it kicks on, but it’s much quieter than my portable unit and the wall unit I had in me previous apartment. This thing is a beast at 80 or so lbs. it’s definitely a two person install, but it sits securely in my window and it was one of the only larger sized units I could find that can run on a standard outlet. The wifi works great and was easy to set up. The remote stopped working after a week, but might just need new batteries. I’mNot that worried about it. The only thing I would change with this is the front louvres are not adjustable, so you can not direct the air flow. Where my unit is installed, it blows cold air directly at the sofa, so I have to cover up with a blanket if I’m sitting on the couch while the unit is running. I’ve only had it for about a month and a half or so. I’m also running the bedroom unit and a fan in the bedroom and my electric bill went up like $10, is all. It seems pretty efficient to me. I would definitely buy this brand again. I love this thing!

Cold as Ice
I was skeptical, as I typically am, but I bought it when it was on sale. It's a great brand and easy to install. I recommend getting this AC if you need one. It's in my main bedroom, and I like it cold there. And let me tell you, it does work. The only con is the noise, but that's the case with every air conditioner. Just don't have any important meetings and have this sucker running. Remote use is a plus, for sure.
