Fits a 2018 BMW M2
I was looking for a replacement horn(s) for my BMW M2. Apparently, a failing horn is a common fault with this model, so a direct BMW replacement out of warranty would be pointless and, of course, stupidly expensive for manufacturer parts. So, I went looking around and there are two (easy) options outside of a direct BMW replacement. One option is to buy an aftermarket wiring pigtail, which plugs into the factory wiring and allows any horn with spade connectors to be used. The second easy option is to buy this set of horns that plug directly into the BMW factory wiring.I was apprehensive about whether they would be plug and play because the 2 series is not mentioned on the listing, but I took a chance anyway. I'm afraid that access to the horns (there is one each side) requires each front wheel to be removed to allow the front wheel arch liner to be taken out. I guess you could try to turn the wheel to see if there is enough space. Anyway, as soon as the liner is out of the way, the factory horn is right there and access isn't too bad. I removed the nut on the back of the factory horn and unplugged it. These Hella horns plug straight in although the angles on the plug and horn outlets are not aligned the same as the factory ones these do fit in. The only issue is that the factory fitting is M8 (13mm nut) and these Hella horns are a M6 fitting (10mm nut) but they still bolt up into place. Make sure that the horn does not touch any part of the bodywork, liner or brackets, otherwise you will get a horrible vibration. As a bonus, they sound a lot better than the factory, noddy horns.

BMW F30 - Like the original....just better!
Very happy chappy! Great product and even better they are almost identical to the original part in size and more importantly where the screw mounts are!! Yippeee!!Now, the not so nice part....fitting them, nothing to do with Hella or the product itself...just where they are!!there is one either side behind the front wheel liner about half way up between fog light and headlight and try as i did for over an hour on one side i undid a few screws on the front wheel liner and peeled it back i had the front wheels fully locked inwards for a bit more space but i couldn't get leverage to undo the screw on the "Old Horn" ...so, out with the trolley jack , loosen the nuts on the wheel before jacking up, after jacking remove nuts and wheel then take the front wheel liner completely off (about 8 screws i think!) and there it is, the faulty horn smiling right back at you as you wipe the sweat from your brow!! take it off and put the new one on....that part is the easy bit!!!!! Now you have to put everything back the way it was.......and then you have to do the other side!! took about an hour a side. P.S. don't lose the top screw on the Hella horn while fitting you will need it as the BMW one is a different size take your time at that part...enjoy your workout....dang those wheels are heavy!!

Loud but doesn't fit properly
This set was recommended as a direct fit replacement for my BMW E82 (1-series). The horns are the same size and shape as the originals, and the connectors are correct but they are supplied with a bracket which would put the horns in the wrong location.I removed the bracket and mounted them to the bracket on the car in the same way as the originals, but it is not possible to line them up correctly because the clocking of the connector relative to the trumpet is different.I *think* the connector will clear the bumper when refitted, but if not some further modification will be needed. Not what I had hoped for.On the plus side, they do seem louder than the originals, which were better suited to a clown car.
