Small and lightweight!
Great quality feel to this kit, however it is small. The cups might hold 8oz of liquid. The bowls maybe 12oz. Skillet is sized to cook a piece of chicken at a time, maybe two small burgers at once. Definitely a minimalist kit focused on being a lightweight kit for back packing, and only for 2 people at most.

Disappointed
Disappointed, I didn't realize that this set is so small. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the size of each item. This set is ridiculously small. The skillet is smaller than the palm of your hand and its the biggest item. The cups look to be able to hold about 5 oz. of liquid or 2 swallows. Perfect for your 6 year old who wants to play camp in the backyard.

I love the idea of this product so much
I love the idea of this product so much. Two bowls and three pieces of cookware all fit inside each other. This is amazing for saving space and they are light weight. But when the pot was filled with water to boil the weight of the water bent the foldable handles. And when the pan was but on the fire, it was almost immediately discolored by the hot spots the fire had and when the room temperature fish was added to the pan with coconut oil the pan warped. The pot also has what look and feel like mineral deposits stuck to the side from boiling water. The set also comes with one set of utensils despite being advertised for two people. The warping and discoloration are not big issues as this item is meant for practicality not looks. The cookware heats up quickly which saves on fuel used, great for extended trips when you take limited amounts of solid fuel. But unfortunately, that means so do the cups and bowls.Over all, good for space saving and saving fuel, but be aware that they are difficult to clean which could cause a waste of water, or coffee that tastes like lasts night soupThis product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Very nice backpacking cook set
"This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review."This is a great small 2-person cook set for backpacking. The set contains a small fry pan, a cooking pot, a small pot with a cover, 2 plates and 2 cups also there is additional pouch with one set of silverware (not 2 sets). The fry pan can be used as a lid for the cooking pot. The pieces nest nicely inside each other to make it compact for your pack. The stainless steel is of a good solid thickness so the cook set is not flimsy. I like the silicone on the handles to protect you from getting burned. The cups and bowls are pretty small but usable. This cook set would be too small for most people to use for car camping. People usually make bigger and more elaborate meals when car camping than they do when backpacking as space and weight are not such a concern. I would not suggest it for this use. There is a different cup that I use for backpacking that I would replace the cups and bowls with, as the cups I use are bigger than the ones in this set, nest inside each other, and can be used for both a cup or a bowl. But as I said before, the cups and bowls that come with this set are usable.I have included a couple of photo of the cook set with a pop can. I hope that helps you get an idea of its size.I would definitely consider this a good buy at the regular price for a cook set to use for backpacking. I am giving this cooking set 4 stars as the cups do not nest inside each other to save space for backpacking.

Wonderful! Even came with a bonus!
This set is exactly what I was looking for! I needed something for our bug out bag to cook our emergency rations, and I was excited to see that this came with the basic dishes as well. It all fits together perfectly, and everything is made of sturdy materials. The the handles on the pans are a little flimsy, but because they are covered in silicone I don't have to worry about burning my hands when I'm pulling them off of the little camp stove. As long as I'm not trying to cook anything exceptionally heavy I don't see the slight flimsiness really being a problem. It's just coated high gauge stainless steel wire essentially, so there is some flex to it when you grab it. The bowls are a bit small, but so are the serving sizes on emergency rations so they should work perfectly! As a bonus, they sent me a cute little stainless steel utensil set in a little zippered neoprene bag which is awesome because now I've got something to eat out of the dishes with and it slides right in the included mesh bag with the rest of the set without increasing the bulk. I guess it increases the weight a tiny bit, but not enough so you'd notice. All together this is a great set and I'm very happy with my purchase....and when the time comes to fill our second bug out bag I'll be buying a second set!Full disclaimer : I received this product at a discount in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Nice camping set
The Black Elk premium 9 piece camping bowl set fits our needs perfectly. Except for the cups and cutlery set, everything nests together; everything including the two cups and the cutlery fits into the mesh bag. The metal is lightweight but not as flimsy as some sets I've seen. There is only one cutlery set included (this seems like the perfect kit for two... so why not include two sets of cutlery??) but it comes in a very nice zip-top case. I really do like the collapsible handles and kind of wish the cups had the same type of handles. The cups have the loop-type handles that I imagine will get quite hot when hot liquids are in the cup. Also, it would have been nice if the cups nested, but since they fit in the mesh bag with everything else, I can overlook this.I was given a discount on this product in return for my fair and unbiased review. I use shopper reviews heavily myself and depend upon these reviews, so please rest assured that my rating is the same as if I'd paid full price. I would still purchase this set at full price, and I am looking forward to using them this summer on our various outings.
