This is a great solar fountain for the money. It produces a powerful fountain spray, which can be challenging for a smaller bird bath. My easy workaround, besides choosing the right spray nozzle (and there are a lot to choose from) was to place decorative rocks around the fountain spout itself, allowing them to partially cover the solar panels until I found a good spray height. Obviously, when the clouds cover the sun, the fountain will not be as powerful, and may intermittently spray, but the birds really don't seem to care. They frequent the bird bath throughout the day for drinks and baths. The rocks serve a dual purpose because they helped weigh down the fountain so it didn't move around. I used (and like) the clear tube attachments that help keep the fountain centered in the bird bath, but found without the weight of the rocks, the birds would inadvertently bump into the fountain and move it off center. I trimmed about 1" of each of the clear tubes with scissors so they weren't sitting on the top edge of my small fountain and that also helped.I would definitely recommend this fountain and would purchase again myself.

I received this fountain the other day and opened it up and found detailed instructions in English with pictures. Now it could have been bigger sized for my older eyes. It was extremely easy to put together. In our 90 degree sun it started within about six minutes. I used the one with the tall spray and it was really pretty. The doves, robins, cardinals, blue jay and little birds loved it. Several just sitting around the edge of the bath. The problem was it was so hot the water evaporated very quickly and my husband and I had to fill the bird bath almost every hour. So I have changed to the short one spraying out from the center inside the bird bath and the water is now staying where it only needs filled twice a day - but only a couple small birds have come around. It is 93 and that may be the problem. Our bird bath is only about 6" deep and perhaps we need a deeper one for the fountain. The sellers are extremely nice.

Well the fountain was supposed to come with spacers to keep it in the middle of the fountain but it didn’t. It was also supposed to have a battery back up which it doesn’t have either, or if it does the feature doesn’t work. Now the different fountain nozzles are okay but they all create to much water pressure on a sunny day and shoot out of or birdbath. We chose to leave the nozzle adapters off which still leaves us with a bubbly effect. The fountain refuses to stay in the center of the bird bath. Any kind of showdown turns off the fountain. Overall I give it one star for its missing features and for its inability to function like it’s described.Update. It stopped working now after a month or so.

I’ve ordered several solar water features because I have several bird baths ….this is the first one that provided a way to stabilize the solar fountain in the center which I have found helpful since they tend to travel around the perimeter and spray water outside the bowl. I also received more different fountain attachments to switch up the way the water sprays and that helps. Some work better than others depending on the strength of sunlight where the bird bath is placed….it’s just nice to have multiple options. It’s easy to assemble and a good price. I’ll order another if I get another bird bath.

I am setting up a water playground for the hummingbirds that come to the feeders I have set out. This fountain is the perfect size for the container. I really like the variety of sprays. The only downside I have found is that it is not constantly on when it is in the sun. On, off, on, off. I don't think the birds will mind once they get used to it, but I found it weird. The sun is not the problem as I live in the CA desert, sun all day, no clouds.

I’ve had this solar power water fountain for about 3 weeks and so far it is a great addition to my little bird bath. Perfect to add immediate interest in a spot that I can’t wire or add water lines. I’m still cycling through the various attachments to decide which one is my favorite. Some of the taller sprays toss the water out of the bird bath and are probably suited best for bigger or deeper applications. I wish they had a mini version half this size, since the solar panels cover the beautiful design inside the birdbath. It worked right out of the box and comes on whenever sunlight is shining directly on it. It makes a horrible noise if it runs out of battery, and it doesn’t have a manual “on/off” switch anywhere. It comes with 4 stabilizing sticks that are basically straws with plastic tabs. Decent, fun addition to my garden.

Purchased this to replace a different solar fountain that we loved, and that is unfortunately no longer for sale.Our previous fountain had a small battery backup & filters we could clean.This fountain only works while in direct sunlight & does not have a way to clean the filter. It does have "arms" that help keep it from getting too close the edge of the water bowl, which we like.Even though we keep our water quite clean, it is outside so debris inevitably gets in it. With no way to clean the "filter" on this fountain, we do not expect it to last for very long.If it surprises us & lasts for more than a month, I'll be back to update this review!

I bought this several weeks ago and I've been using it since. I had to really look through all the sprinkler heads to find the one that didn't spout water over the container where I'm using it. And now it's perfect. I've really only seen a couple of birds drinking from it but it's outside my patio and I don't watch it a lot. I just refill the container (it's a giant resin plantar) once a day and it's been working great. Thinking of buying another one actually.
