The Novapolt CD Burner did the trick. I arrived on time as promised and performed as indicated on the product information. I connected it to my laptop as soon as I received it and it worked flawlessly. I hadn't tried burning and CD's since upgrading to Windows 10 and was a little disappointed when I ran into trouble last Friday. I had no idea I had to upgrade my burner to use with Windows 10. Even after upgrading my LG CD burner, I still could not get it to burn a CD. Thank goodness for Novapolt and the description on Amazon regarding their burner. It worked just like they said it would with my Windows 10 and ITunes. I'm a happy camper again. If you think your CD burner is the problem, you won't be disappointed with Novapolt.

Our new mac doesn't have a cd/dvd reader / burner. So I bought this Novapolt external burner. It really is 'plug and play'. Right out of the box, plugged it in and it worked right away. I wish more products were so simple.

I like that it's compatible with anything, almost. I tried to use it with my Chromebook and it works for the most part, but will not read video DVDs. Maybe they're region protected, and if that's the case, it would explain a few things. But it's a perfectly good drive, just runs very slowly on Chromebook. Compatibility issue most likely. Going to be switching to a different laptop within a few months anyway, so no worries.

This is my second time with this product. The first purchase was dropped about 3 feet onto a carpeted floor, the face plate that covers the opening, came off, and it stopped functioning. You replaced it with the same model at my request. You were gracious enough to replace at your expense, which I appreciated. The second one, when I first used it, the face plate to the opening (drawer) was unhinged at one side, but still usable. I few weeks later, the plate completely broke off. Since I was still able to use it, I continued to use it until now. It does not work.My only option is to contact the company to see if they have a warranty.I don't think I want to get the same product again.

The drive was as represented and is a good value for the money. Fast shipping and good follow-uo.

I'm not sure if there is a problem with this product in general or if just mine was defective. I was able to connect it to my Mac to read in commercially produced CDs. The problem came when I tried to write to either CDs or DVDs. No application on my Mac could recognize the drive as a writer. I also tried connecting it to Windows machines and they also identified it as a DVD ROM only. I ended up returning it for a refund because I could never get it to function as a writer.

Every one of our PC's at home, be it desktop, laptop or tablet all running windows 10, work great with this DVD -RW. If I have need of another one I will certainly go this route again. If asked I will recommend this product.
