Q: I need this tape to be abit tacky so my hands do do slip on my dragonboat paddle my friend has it in clear and seams to work so is it tacky??

Yes it is tacky. It's self fusing tape, so it's not sticky in the sense of having glue, but more tacky. It's best to put the tape on and then wait at least 1 hour to let it settle, and then the tape feels grippy.

Q: Can this be used to wrap around barbells?

This tape sticks to itself as you overlap it while wrapping. I use it on a graphite paddle but I think it would be worth a try on a barbell. I bet you could ask the company.
