Great knife, great price, and no wait
Shipped quick, good price too. This thing is a beast! I have not got out in the wood with it yet, but I am looking forward to it, I don't think there is anything you could throw at this and it not be able to take it. Typical Tops quality through and through. Better price than the Manuf. list, and no long wait to get it.Not too sure if I like the belt clip or not, but I will carry it inside my pack anyway, it's kinda heavy in my opinion for a walking belt knife.I added the Tops Ferro rod to my sheath as well. I am more than happy with my decision (it was a long process) in choosing this model.

I've done the math, and I estimate the value at 200% or greater.
What is it I can say that the other reviewers have not? A shorter blade can easily and quickly be sharpened to a razor edge especially on the spyderco triangles. Which is good, because I'm impatient and so my 10 inch blades often just don't get there. Also, the knife is heavy in hand, (1lb is a lot for a 5.5in) but is very comfortable to carry on the hip even without a belt. With the rotating steel clip you can carry scout (horizontal) as well. The Mike Tyson type build of the blade makes it all but invincible. Perfectly fits the role of "survival knife."Kydex sheath is great especially considering aftermarket kydex sheaths like it cost 60 dollars easily. Micarta handles are easily 30 or more. So the value is five stars too, not to mention TOPS actually does a legit high quality treatment to their steel. I really can't think of anything bad to say and I'm trying really hard to. It's my second TOPS and definitely not my last. A+

Top quality product.
Absolutely top quality product. Every seam and every curve is spot on. Not only that but also the blade suites its purpose 100%. The handle is very comfortable, the lanyard holes are in the right place, the blade coating is very thick and uniform, the balance of the blade is suitable for woodworking. Simply a work of art. Love the fact that it's 100% made in the US.I strongly recommend that knife for every blade lover. You will never feel cheated out of your money, you will see where every $ went. The kydex sheath is as always a great product and the locking is very strong. I can't see this knife fall out in any condition apart from maybe very aggressive army training/operational activity. Speaking of which, I would not take that as a tactical knife. You would need a different handle/blade width and shape. But, that can be a great second blade.Only down side is that it's almost to beautiful to use. So, I might get myself a second one just in case.

Nothing better for the price
It is the Alpha, it is the Omega. Once I pulled this knife out of its fantastic kydex sheath and made a feather stick with micron thick shavings, I cried-- for there were no more worlds to conquer. Wicked sharp, edge holds up wonderfully, as does the traction coating thus far. The only thing I'm not head over heels about is the spring clip on the sheath, but that becomes a non-issue once you start working with the knife. On top of all that, this knife is from an awesome Idaho company, and as we all know, everything amazing and wonderful originates in Idaho. Actually, wait-- Idaho is terrible and you should not come here. This beast is coming with me on the Idaho Centennial Trail this summer, and I have no doubts that it will chew through the backwoods like no ones business.

It's a Tops knife. What else needs to be said?
I bought this knife to be used as a camping, hunting & light survival knife, and it excels in those roles. The 1095 high carbon steel blade is extremely tough, holds an edge well and is easy to resharpen. At 1/4" it's a little thicker than necessary, but you're not likely to ever break it! The little 'horned' area at the tip of the blade was probably intended to make it look a little like its namesake, the Black Rhino, but it also makes an superb anvil area when using it with a baton to split firewood & such. That feature is actually what originally attracted me to the knife to begin with, and when combined with the blade's thickness it makes this knife one of the best knives for batoning I've ever used. In short, yes, I would recommend this knife!

Exactly what I had hoped it was
Just received this knife and my first two impressions were, it's heavier than I thought, and I love this knife! This could be a great backup if you don't have a hatchet with you for chopping small branches. It's length and unique jimping makes it very suitable for finer work aswell. The over all look and feel is everything I had hoped for. I did allot of research before purchasing this knife and I am not let down one bit. I'll be taking this out on a camping trip in a few weeks and give it a test run and will update my review after

It's worth the money!!!
This thing is a beast! It's a 1/4" thick and feels like a tool in the hand. It is great for batoning, prying, and other heavy work. However, the handle is a little small and straight. I can't get the greatest grip. It feels best when my index finger is in the choil but you can't really chop too well like that. With that being said this knife is still worth the money. It's built to last and will. One of my sons will be using this one day when I'm gone.

Black Rhino
Amazing knife! love the 1/4 inch thick spine and the micarta handle scales are great and don't slip. Fantastic kydex sheath aswell! Only downside is the factory edge wasnt very sharp. Once you put a good edge on the knife it wont let you down!

Excelente cuchillo.
