Beware the back stitch
This is the first cross-stitch I've done since I was a child and I finished in about 5 weeks, which was longer than I was expecting, but the unexpected challenges kept it interesting. I love the finished product. If you are ordering a piece with an outline, be aware there will be back stitching and you will need to follow the pattern/do some counting. I was hoping for a fully stamped design, but there is no way to stamp lines as you would cover them up with your cross-stitch. The christmas design I purchased was full of back stitches for all the tree branches and got tedious at times, but really added to the look of the piece. I also had to watch a youtube video to figure out the french knot. This piece had 9 of them.I am docking a star for thread quality. This thread knots quite a bit and you'll have to be very careful. If you aren't pulling every stitch very slowly, make sure you catch your knots before you get too far ahead. I had to pull out and re-do stitches quite a few times because I had knots I didn't notice right away. I just started a new piece from a different company, and the thread is much softer, easier to separate and pull through the fabric, so I believe it is an issue with the quality of the floss. On the plus side they provide plenty, so if your issues have you losing thread you still won't run out.Final tip: if you soak and there is still some pattern left, just soak it again. 2 soaks took care of it.

My first ever cross stitch... I'm impressed
I had a lot of fun doing my first ever cross stitch. I think it came out pretty nice. My only mistake was that I used 3 threads when doing the backstitching (outlines) instead of using 2 as recommended. It meant that I ran out of thread to outline all of the stems and leaves. I'll buy some more and hopefully can match the color to finish the project. The instructions were easy to follow. The material is very stiff, so there is no need for an embroidery hoop or anything like that. This is a beautiful project that is great for patient beginners. It is not a quick 1 or 2 hour project. It will take several days to complete. Enjoy!Update: I also added a picture of the finished product. The extra thread I got doesn't match perfectly, but you have to look very close to notice. Also, when done, just rinse in warm water for a while and all the markings on the cloth wash right off.

The graph and the colored squares make it easy and when you're done it looks fantastic
I loved the fact that it has the colored graph on the fabric to make it easy and go faster to finish. I'm glad the color graph washes off when you are complete, looks fabulous, highly recommend for those that wants to give cross stitching a try,The work is rewarding when complete. Time and patience paid off. I

NOT AT ALL WHAT IT IS PRESENTED TO BE
This kit contains four sets of instructions, all completely different and impossible to understand. I love the print and it goes great with another kit I finished. When I first opened the package, the first thing I noticed was that there was no frame as is represented on line and on the front of the package. Then I saw all of the complicated directions. I tried at least a half a dozen times to figure out what to do with this to no avail. In February I wrote to the company. An insert in the kit boasts about their 5 STAR AFTER SALE SERVICE. I wrote to the email address on the same insert. Well they NEVER EVEN CONTACTED ME.I am very very disappointed with this companyas they have a lot of really nice kits

rose cross stitch
I just opened this and the pattern with the colours on the material does not match the written instructions nor does the embroidery thread colours not match the patten on the material. Emailed the company and after 5 days have not received a response. Roses are not orange in the picture on the pattern but is the cooler in the printed pattern on the material to complete the cross stitch. But maybe I have embroidery thread to use. That is the only positive statement I can make.
