Left handed guide
I have purchased many stitching how to books that were ultimately frustrating because they were written for right handed use. This book solves that problem! I have been able to accomplish the stitches because of the clear explanation and lots of finished stitches in bright photos.

Fantastic photographic instructions!
This book is the best yet that I've bought on Amazon on beading and embroidery (and I've bought a few). The clean style of the layout and the instructional photography is the best. I have been exploring Japanese craft and quilt books lately, and because I learn visually, I am so grateful for these young designers and these types of books. They manage to show the steps via photos versus using a ton of words to explain each step. Yasuko Endo has done an excellent job and many thanks to her and the CRK group. (Interweave, take note. I LOVE that you published this book. More Japanese books should be translated into English for the craft market. Was this originally in Japanese? Some of the translations are a bit awkward in the text in the book, but good for you for making books like this available in English...Maybe you could do Yoko Saito's "Daily Quilt" next! I've ordered the Japanese copy translated into Chinese, since I couldn't find the French copy; I'm hoping it will be as easy to follow as this book is in terms of visual instruction...if not, I'll have to figure it out; I love a challenge!) This book was worth every penny I spent on it. Can't wait to gather together the tools and fabric to get started on my own stitch samples. If you love to embroider and embellish with beads, you will appreciate this book.

Best Bead Book Ever
I love this book. Not only does it show you how to sew the beads on but it also gives you many colorful examples for bead embroidery and motifs. Love it.

Well-thought out
This book has a great layout, with both process photos and illustrations to show each stitch. PLUS, a handy illustrated glossary of stitches at the back so you don't have to go searching through the whole book to find a certain stitch.A good variety of stitches using all beads, and combination of beads/thread/yarn. Definitely has a Scandinavian feel to it (?) The only improvement I can think of is to show examples of some cultures in addition to the projects/photos shown.

Very neat little book
This is a beginning bead embroidery book and shows you the "how to" from the simplest to more complex borders and designs... giving you clear illustrations and pictures each step along the way. Great book with lots of ideas on how you might use these cute bead borders and designs to embellish clothing and accessories. It incorporates beads in well known embroidery stitches like straight stitch, cross stitch, lazy daisy and chain, buttonhole and blanket stitch, herringbone and cretan stitch and many others. There's even a chart showing which needle and thread size to use with each size/type of bead.

Wonderful book
I thought this book will have only few examples. But on the contrary it has so many like an encyclopedia of stitches and examples of how you can embroider with beads. And once you start there are so many possibilities that you will never end.Great pictures, good examples and the best of all the instructions are like guides to learn, are well written and explained.I'll recommend buying this book first among other bead embroidery ones, and then you'll never put it down.

Excellant and useful resource.
Got this for myself as I have checked it out of the library twice before and used it it. The directions are pretty clear and the patterns are wonderful - it's nice to dress up purchased items quickly. the first simple project took less than an hour. I did the simplest pattern around the neckline of a tee for me. Finding the right material in my stash that would work took longer than the stitching - LOL. I would do this again, and now I own the book , I can choose any pattern I like!

Outstanding book on beading for beginners
This book is the absolute BEST!!! I'm a beginning beader and I'm planning on using this as a reference guide for embellishing doll dresses for the American Girl Kaya Indian doll. Clear precise photos and directions and I'll be off and running in fine style. The only thing this book doesn't provide is the patterns for me to use. If anything I've got too many ideas taking form in my head. This book provides simple line designs and progresses to more advanced designs.
