Mollie Makes Embroidery: Adorable Stitched Projects Plus Tips & Tricks

I'm totally obsessed with anything by Mollie Makes, and this book is no exception. Lots of cute projects for a wide variety of skill levels. Some projects could easily be done in one sitting, others might take longer. A great collection of different types of projects as well, not just 15 of the same type of thing. I really like that this book has a lot of information on stitching...makes it so I don't have to stop working in the middle of a project to look something up on the internet. I can just look in the back of the book!

I am not really interested in making most of the things in this book, but the project on the cover is worth buying it. I also have other Mollie Makes books. They have excellent how-to information and the embroidery book is a great resource.

First I fell in love with some of the ideas. Then, I realized this book actually has stitches I haven't seen in other books.Nice to have for other future projects.All of the patterns include stitch guides. Worth the purchase.

This book has several cute designs in it, but it seemed a little sparse on content. I'm not sure it's worth what I paid for it, but it does have a few cute stitches. If you buy it, get it cheap.

Definitely worth 5 stars! Unique and darling projects covering all kinds of embroidery. Can't wait to make the alphabet sampler on the cover!

I like this book; clear step by step instructions and some easy lovely small projects to try stitches.

I almost sent it back but there were a couple of cute projects that made me keep it.

This is a lovely book with a nice collection of patterns and ideas for anyone who loves to embroider.

Eine wichtige Information vorab:Trotz der verschiedenen Einbände der beiden Mollie Makes Embroidery Bücher ist der Inhalt identisch !!!!!Es gibt die volle Punktzahl für ein sehr schön aufgemachtes Buch im typischen Molli Makes Style mit eigenwilligen Stickideen und guten Anleitungen, die man auch ohne große Englisch Kenntnisse umsetzen kann!Das Buch ist in zwei Teile unterteilt, in Teil eins erfolgt die Vorstellung verschiedener Stickmethoden ( sticken mit Stickgarn, mit Bändern, Kreuzstich, Applikationen, Silhouttensticken, Gobelinsticken ) mit jeweils einem Stickvorschlag. Dabei ist jede Stickmethode einer Designerin zugeordnet, die hierbei vorgestellt wird, ebenfalls gibt es zu jedem Stickvorschlag eine klare Übersicht, welche Materialien benötigt werden und mit welchen speziellen Stichen gestickt wurde ( z.B. Rückstich, Satinstich, Kettstich, usw.) Diese Stiche kann man dann im zweiten Teil des Buches, dem Technikteil, nachschlagen, in dem die einzelnen Stiche mit Abbildungen erklärt sind.Mir haben in diesem Buch ganz besonders das Alphabet vom Einband und die bestickten Eulenfiguren gefallen (die sind auf dem Einband des anderen Buches zu sehen) letztere stehen bereits schön mit Lavendel gefüllt in meine Wohnzimmer. Ansonsten gibt es noch bestickte Handyhüllen, Filz-ereader-Hüllen ,Kissen , Folklore-Stick-Decken, Nadelhüllen und-kissen, Armbänder und einiges mehr. Für absolute Anfänger würde ich das Buch nicht empfehlen, da selbst überschaubare Motive eine Vielzahl an unterschiedlichen Stichen benötigen. Meiner Ansicht nach ist das Buch geeignet für jemanden mit etwas Stickerfahrung, der mal neue Ideen und Stiche ausprobieren möchte.
