Good basic patterns
Im happy with this book since Tunisian crochet patterns are somewhat hard to find. I was hoping for more creative designs. But, this book is great start.

GREAT for learning Tunisian crochet
I've been crocheting (non-Tunisian) since I was 7 or 8 years old (I'm 26 right now). I've never done Tunisian crochet, and I don't know anyone who has. But I love the look of knitting, even though I can't convince my hands that holding knitting needles is easy. This book, though, is teaching me to do Tunisian crochet, and it looks a lot like knitting. In fact, that Tunisian knit stitch might as well be knitting. It's not hard, but you really have to study the pictures, and I think it helps if you know how to do regular crochet first. The pictures in this book are really good. I definitely recommend reading the directions at the beginning instead of relying on the shortened instructions for stitches at the beginning of each pattern if you're new to this type of crocheting. The pictures at the front of the book are priceless when you're learning.I can't comment yet on the quality of the patterns. I'm working on a scarf using the Tunisian simple stitch and the Tunisian knit stitch. I decided to start easy since I haven't done this before.I highly recommend this book for learning Tunisian crochet. The directions are only a few pages long, and they're to-the-point. They don't draw it out over the whole book. I didn't want to read a 200-page book about it. I just wanted to read what I had to in order to actually get started and make something, and this book is perfect for that.Definitely a good book. Buy it.

An excellent book for a beginner like me. The stitch technique is well diagrammed and explained. Included are projects from easy- advanced. Looking forward to progressing in this craft.

Hooked!
Already had tried Tunisian crochet, but needed reference guide to understand more intricate stitches. This book provided this and much more. Canโt wait to try sweater patterns! Definitely a great addition to any needle crafterโs library interested in expanding their experience with needlework.

GREAT Information for Those Learning How to do Tunisian Crochet!
I ordered this book as I was about to start taking a class to learn Tunisian Crochet. The shop that was providing the class is in the process of closing for good, (the owners are retiring), so their supply of this book was no longer available. They have a lot of great information for anyone who is just beginning to learn how to crochet. The Simple Tunisian Crochet Stitch, (formerly known as the Afghan Stitch from the 1970's), turned out to be easier to learn than I realized and I have been practicing the stitch by working up one of the projects, (place mat and coasters) that is contained within this book. The other stitches, that are mentioned, are going to take me a little longer to master before I can attempt to tackle the other projects in this book as those are listed as "Intermediate Skill" level. I'm not there yet but will be eventually.

Hooked indeed
Bought this for a friend who is very good at Tunisian, I am 'new' to this style but on seeing the book it was a real effort to hand it over, it has lovely patterns, nice to follow, and great items to make, she is going to lend it to me when I advance a bit. I would recommend this a great present if you can part with it.

Tunisian crochet
I have only had a quick look so far but what I have observed looks exactly what I have been looking for. There is lots of good ideas for a good range of projects and actual garments to make. I especially like the look of the colour work which I now would love to have a go at.
