Thoroughly helpful
A great book to think through the various manifestations of these disorders. I learned a lot to enhance my practice. Especially where to start and when to proceed more slowly was helpful.

A Caring Guide to Curing a Comorbid Condition
"Anxiety and Depression" is an excellent guide to assist psychologists and psychiatrists as they seek to cure their patients. Since anxiety and depression are the most common complaints this book is essential reading. Margaret Wehrenberg presents seven client types and explains how to interact with them. She believes cognitive-behavioral therapies are better than prescribing medications but she does include a section at the end of the book that explains which types of medication works for each of the seven types of clients.I felt this book was very detailed and the case studies were all fascinating. I like that Margaret Wehrenberg explains the causes of anxiety and depression. This book is very thoughtful and helpful in many regards. There is also a section that gives ideas for why people may be having panic attacks. This book is mostly for people who are not mentally ill but are struggling with life choices and unplanned occurrences which cause them anxiety and depression. Margaret Wehrenberg really is a caring person who shows you exactly how to interact with clients in the most practical way. This is one of the best books on psychology I've ever read!~The Rebecca ReviewI received this book free in exchange for a review. This review is my honest opinion.

Best book to give hope for people with both anxiety ad depression
Once again, Dr. Wehrenberg has written a book that is concretely helpful, easily readable and filled with practical strategies. With anxiety and depression being the most common reasons for people seeking professional help, this is a must read for therapists. It's also a helpful book for anyone who is concerned about anxiety and depression in a loved one. Dr. Wehrenbeg uses case studies to describe the different types of client, then provides concrete strategies for how to best help each client type. I found this book to provide a degree of hope for treating anxiety and depression as concurrent problems: People don't have to suffer and people can get better! I plan to recommend this book to anyone with these problems.

Nothing to shout about !
Nothing here supplanted or encouraged me to research or clinically work differently. Seemed hyped up to me and I'm a tad disappointed.
