Old cap on the left, new on the right. New cap could easily open if it got bumped. Old one was more secure. Amazon puts tape over tops to keep them from opening during transport.New version has a much bigger opening, so the stuff really gushes out. Overall I prefer the old cap design, as it’s more travel friendly and easier to get just the right amount of product.What hasn’t changed: Amazon still doesn’t screw the caps down firmly, so one is usually loose, causing it to leak during shipping.

I have no complaints about what is inside, it works great and I have been using it for years. BUT THE PACKAGING SUCKS! I can't tell you how many times I have received this product and it has leaked all over when I open the box. And we are not just talking a drop or 2 - we are talking about a significant loss of the product and possible contamination from external sources. I would definitely call this a safety issue. If something can leak out, then something can get in. (i.e COVID or any other contamination) I have worked all my career in the medical device industry and this is flat out unacceptable. I have complained directly to the company and they do nothing about it. This is a well know issue because they try to band-aid it by applying scotch tape (yes scotch tape) to the top of the cap in a very poor attempt to keep the cap from unscrewing. Please fix this problem once and for all. It is unacceptable to continue selling this product in its current package.

I received this order - 6 loose bottles in a plastic envelope mailer. The caps were loose on the product bottles and a good portion of the product had spilled out into the envelope. I estimate that 1& 1/2 bottles of product was lost. I am not a very happy customer!

I have used this for years. Although it is expensive, I prefer it to other options. The new style cap does not provide good control when dispensing the product. I will be looking for old style caps to replace them. I am currently using a cap from an old bottle, but it will eventually need to be replaced. Any suggestions for a source of the old style cap would be appreciated.

Balneol is excellent for the treatment of Pruritis Ani; however, my complaint about this product is not about the product, but about the price. I was fortunate, because my local Meijer Pharmacy had this product on sale for about two years, for only $5.98, each. However, it decided to nearly quadruple the price! Now, $13.00 a bottle is considered a low price. Unfortunately, these three ounce bottles only last about three-four days or so. Hence, one can spend $130.00-$150.00 per month on Balneol. Surely, this product can be distributed for a lower price, as it is not a prescription drug. I've used other products, and none of them match the soothing relief of Balneol.
