My children had one of these to brush their teeth by. It's a great tool for children to use and learn to properly brush their teeth.

I purchased the yellow timer, very pretty and bright and cost a little less than the other colors. Very close on accuracy, measures 3 minutes and 5 seconds. For my purposes this is fine, it will be used for for fun activities!

Works as expected

With all the new games, especially the Nintendo Switch, my elementary-aged grandchildren can get carried away by playing for hours if not guided. We use these hour timers to give them an hour to play before they must do something else. We bought two, one for each grandchild, The blue works perfectly, but the green sticks at times and the sand will not go through. After giving it a good shake, it behaves and starts working again.

I use this primarily to keep my child on the toilet for 1 minute. I could use a timer on my phone but I don’t want to be glued to my device all the time. So I just leave the sand timer in the bathroom and use it when he needs to go (or try at least). My little one doesn’t tell us that he needs to go yet and he rushes off the toilet. This helps him slow down and focus.

I tested it twice with an iPhone timer.It was exactly 15 min on the dot.

It's actually kinda bigger than I initially expected. Somehow I thought it'd be like the sand timers from a board game, but it was like 5x bigger making it easier to read. Measured the time and found it to be 6 seconds slow, but that appears to be expected as it say "+/- 10%" right on top of the timer. Very handy for kids to make sure they're brushing their teeth the full 2 minutes.

Turns 5 minutes into forever. This thing never works. Every time I flip it over, it gets clogged. I’ll be returning.
