Amazing!
I was initially hesitant when I received this Clam. I wasn't sure about the colour but as it turns out, it blends in beautifully with nature - almost like it's not even there. The black mesh is easy to see through. The sides are nice and tight once the shelter is up. The "put up" and "take down" are beyond easy! I also purchased the wind panels which are easy to put on and take off. This is now on my "most favourite items" list. The size is perfect. I had to decide between this one and the traveller which I now know would have been too small for me. I love this shelter! Before buying it, I did read a review that it gets hot inside and it does. I was glad that I brought a fan to keep the air circulating. Otherwise, the heat would have been too much. In conclusion - I love my Clam! But once again-get a fan. Trust me...just trust me!

Nice shelter and quick setup!
I have had this shelter for about 6 weeks now. I have taken it camping and used it in the backyard. The build is of good quality. I am pleased enough with it that I am considering ordering the side panels.Set up is quick and easy. One person can handle the task. There are pegs to secure it to the ground and tie off rings all around so it can be further secured with the supplied lines. Oddly, there are no pegs for these lines if you use the supplied pegs at the base of the shelter. I have supplied my own and with the shelter securely pegged at the base and with the tie outs it will handle a fairly brisk wind.I have seen on various channels people using the straps on the metal rings as a tie out point. From what I can tell, the straps are there only for the setup process. You use them to pop the walls out. When tying out from these points I use a small carabiner to attach the line to the metal loop. This should extend the life of the straps.Would I recommend this shelter? Yes, I would. As a Scouter, I use tents and shelters a lot. This one seems pretty sturdy and I expect I will get a lot of use from it.

Excellent product, but study and follow setup instructions carefully.
Once the tent was up, it functioned perfectly. It seems to be very well designed and made. We use it in our yard so we can sit outside without being harassed by mosquitoes which can be pretty bad here. Being able to sit outside and enjoy the view and birdsong is even a bigger benefit than I imagined, so the dearest and I are really happy with the purchase. Too bad we didn't do it years ago.Fair warning though, before you try to set this tent up, study and follow the instructions carefully. If you mess up, you could generate a three dimensional puzzle that could defeat you, instructions or no.Part of my problem was that the first time I noticed the instruction leaflet included in the kit was when our dog did a high speed pass by the wife and I with the thing in her mouth. I didn't notice the leaflet fall to the ground. Our dog, on the other hand, does not miss that sort of opportunity. She didn't generate the chase she was hoping for (we were rather busy at the moment), but she had a grand time rendering the leaflet into confetti before I figured out that I needed it.My foul up was, as noted at one point by my wife, trying to set the tent up inside out. Trust me, without instructions, many people will do likewise - it is the apparent next step when you undo the bundle. Except that it doesn't work - "doesn't work" is an understatement.Did I mention confetti? Happily, instructions were available online. Sadly, by the time I located online instructions, it was impossible to apply them due to the tangle. A twist in the fabric of the assembly made starting and following the instructions impossible. For about an hour and a half of puzzling and manipulating, all I accomplished was to make the twist worse, or transfer the problem from one spot to another in the tangle. A video of the process would have been a YouTube hit.To get out of the mess, I had to remove the fiberglass roof supports and then re-assemble them after de-twisting the fabric, a process that was only just barely possible given the length of the fiberglass supports. So, be warned. Study the instructions. The paper ones will do if you can keep them, or retrieve them, from the dog, but there are videos and instructions online as well. Don't even unwrap the bundle until you have read and understood them from beginning to end. If you do otherwise, you may transform a two minute exercise into a three hour or worse mind bender, or as one reviewer mentioned, ending up sending the mess back to be replaced by a fresh tent.

Great design and construction
I have used my Clam shelter and 4 wind panels for over 30 days in 2020 and I am so glad I bought it. The previous year I was finding I was spending too much time in my camper van and not outside. The shelter has provided me with privacy in crowded campgrounds and shelter from wind sun and mosquitoes. It does tend to keep the warmth inside which is generally a good thing when camping in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta -- especially after the sun goes down behind the mountains. So I can play my guitar and banjo in comfort!First of all itβs easy for this 60-something solo travelling woman to set up in five minutes- 10 minutes if I need to stake in guy lines. It could fit over most picnic tables but there wouldn't be room for anything else. It fits two folding "zero gravity" chairs with lots of room to spare. This size fits across the back of my camper van under the sofa with inches to spare.I appreciate the superb design and quality construction. The first night I set it up I checked the weather forecast before going to bed and it was supposed to be calm. But a sudden thunderstorm blew off the lake and I looked outside to see my clam shelter holding on by one stake and blowing around in circles. I went outside in the storm and jammed as much of the shelter as I could underneath the picnic table and tied it to the table. The next morning I went outside and it was clear and calm and I discovered that the wind had pretty much turned the whole shelter inside out. I gently coaxed the nylon walls over the frame corners, corner by corner. I noticed that a fellow across the road who was reading and having his morning coffee turned his chair around so he had a better view of the proceedings. I guess he figured my struggles would be more interesting than his book. He must have been disappointed when I had it untwisted and set up again in a few minutes. One of the screws that holds the top of the door poles had blown away. I emailed Clam customer support and had two new one shipped out to me the same day (now I have a spare). So great product and great customer support! I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment. I have taken it out of my camper and put it in the garage for the winter....I might be setting it up at a picnic sites this winter for outdoor social gatherings.

Follow the instructional video and love your Clam
Quick, easy to erect. Excellent quality. We wish it came with its own floor but a small tarp works well. Watched the video on YouTube made by Clam. Works exactly as the video says. DO NOT SKIP THE VIDEO.
