Rainforest 1" to 2" Medium Margo Decorative River Polished Pebbles, 20 lb, Grade A Black

2022: I bought these for two uses. One, to put in the bottom of my larger pots and planters for better water drainage. Two, to put in trays under pot/plants the like more humidity. I put the rocks in the tray then put the pot on top. I add water almost to the bottom of the pot. That increases humidity without the pits sitting in water.These work well for both uses.

For the most part I’m very satisfied with the rocks. I ended up having to make several orders for a total of 13 bags, in order to cover an area of about 5 1/2‘ x 3 1/2‘. Most of the rocks were in good condition, however some are larger than 2 inches, and I definitely received a number of broken rocks due to the fact there is no protective packaging, they come in a large plastic bag inside of a thin cardboard box. I was happy however that I didn’t receive a number of discolored rocks, they all stayed pretty much a grayish black. I’ll definitely order again next spring when I have to add rocks.

These black stones are just what I wanted to finish the look in my outdoor zen garden.The original decorative Black mulch just goes away as well as gets blown around when using the required leaf blower.These are the perfect size to not disappear into the ground. I have them surrounding my Buddha Belly Bamboo tree.Had to order them in stages (20 pounds at a time) as I cannot lift a heavy box. Once I opened the box, I carried out 1/2 of them at a time into the garden. Note: These are rocks, not jewelry. They are not highly polished. Just nice black river rocks as pictured. WARNING: After 3 orders of this rock, I was informed that there was a quantity limit on this item so I could not re-order more. Therefore, if you can lift more than 20 pounds at a time and need a lot, would be a good idea to order a larger bag to start.THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN WARNED UP FRONT. NOW I HAVE A 1/2 FINISHED PROJECT & THEY WILL NOT SEND MORE ROCKS. Also, NOTE: This item has doubled in price since I first ordered last year. So disappointing. Use to be only $17.00.

I liked the stones in the first purchase, so I bought the same product again. I double checked it's the same time, but it does not look the same at all. The left one in the picture is the one I bought in the first purchase and the other small one came a month ago. it has a lot of holes on the surface and rough while the one from the first purchase is shiny and beautiful. Is there a way to get correct ones?

i could add an image - but really, its more work than I want to do for this review. These are painted regular river rocks - they are not polished stones. The blazing Arizona sun takes the paint off in 1-2 weeks and leaves dark gray regular rocks - they don't mix with polished black stones and were thrown away. I recommend buying one bag before committing and see if its what you like - I ended up going to a local hardware store instead and got the correct item that I needed

They are a great size to fill in my planters. They are truly black and have a nice shine. MW

The rocks were very dirty, and not polished at all. I had to wear gloves while handling them due to them staining my hands and clothing. A lot of the rocks were broken. I don't know if that was a delivery issue, or if they left the factory like that. They are too heavy, and not worth the effort of returning. But ultimately they serve their purpose I had for them, which was to be a counterweight, so I will give 5 stars because they ultimately got the job done for me. But if you are using them for decorative purposes, beware they are not polished, and a lot of them are broken.

Worked well for what we needed it for. They were definitely bigger than 1-2" but it still worked for what we needed.

Pretty black. Good size. Good quality. Was worried whether they’d be black or dark grey, but precious customers assured me they’re black. The stones are all random sizes and you can play around with them so they fit the space.

nice rocks good black colour and polished nicely, some rocks were broken and crushed ok buy better to get at a store! Delivery time was way to long.

Not worth the money. Product came damaged and it is not even polished. I washed the stones and they still didn't look polished. A lot of broken stones in the bag.
